Today we pray and celebrate as nine young adults receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and are sealed with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

We give thanks for their commitment to the Catholic faith and to the Church, and we ask God's continued blessings upon them as they continue their journey of discipleship.

Please join us in praying for these candidates, their sponsors, families, and all who have helped guide them to this important day.

Come, Holy Spirit!

Fun Friday Scavenger Hunt at Gesu!

Did you know there are 53 IHS symbols hidden throughout the Church of the Gesu?

This week's challenge is to find them all!

The IHS symbol is closely associated with the Jesuits and is the Christogram of the Holy Name of Jesus. The letters come from the first three letters of Jesus' name in Greek and have been used for centuries as a symbol of devotion to Christ. It is also the official seal of the Society of Jesus, making it one of the most recognizable symbols of the Jesuit tradition.

Think you can find all 53?

🔍 Search throughout the Upper Church and keep count of every IHS symbol you discover.
🏆 The first person to correctly identify all 53 IHS symbols and contact me wins bragging rights and a special surprise!

It was a joy to welcome the MUHS Baccalaureate Mass back to Gesu this past Saturday evening.

Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and the larger community, we gathered in prayer and gratitude to celebrate the Class of 2026 and ask God's blessing upon them as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a beautiful and meaningful celebration. We are honored to continue this cherished tradition and wish these young men every blessing as they move forward with faith, courage, and purpose.

Congratulations and heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Michael Marco, S.J. on an exceptional decade of leadership and service at Marquette University High School.

Over the past 10 years, Fr. Marco has impacted countless young men and families through his faithful leadership, Jesuit vision, compassion, and unwavering commitment to forming men for others.

His leadership also helped guide one of the most extraordinary fundraising efforts in the school’s history, ensuring that a Marquette High education remains accessible and affordable for generations of students to come.

Thank you, Fr. Marco, for your dedication to Jesuit education, for the lives you have shaped along the way, and for the lasting legacy you leave at MUHS.

Congratulations to the Marquette University Class of 2026!

As another graduating class leaves campus, we give thanks for the countless students who have prayed, worshipped, celebrated, questioned, grown, and encountered God here at the Church of the Gesu throughout their Marquette journey.

For so many of you, Gesu became far more than a church you passed on your way to class. It became your parish home, a sacred place woven into the rhythm of your college years. A place for Sunday Mass, quiet prayer, friendship, discernment, joy, grief, and grace.

As an Archdiocese of Milwaukee parish, Marquette students living within our parish boundaries truly become part of our parish family during their time here. Serving as your church throughout these years has been one of our greatest blessings.

And although your time at Marquette may now be coming to an end, know this: you will always have a home at Gesu.

May God continue to guide you as you begin this next chapter and continue to help you find God in all things.

AMDG. 💙💛
