Fr. Solanus had two great loves – the poor and the sick. The Blessing of the Sick addresses the widespread need for many kinds of healing in so many people’s lives. St. Francis of Assisi Church celebrates the heritage of Fr. Solanus who once lived here by offering this Blessing of the Sick to people of Fr. Solanus’ home state.

A special Mass will be live-streamed for all who have died in this pandemic, as well as those grieving the loss of a loved one from the pandemic and those who are still suffering from COVID-19. Our Capuchin Provincial Minister, Michael Sullivan, has asked all Capuchin communities and parishes to celebrate this special Mass tomorrow. Let us join in solidarity with many more who set aside this day for special prayer.
