The Corner House is an inclusive campus ministry serving students in the Greater Milwaukee area.

Weekly Schedule:

Bible Study/Education: Monday 6:30-7:30 pm
Free Breakfast: Wednesday 10 am

What a day! Garden beds cleared and ready for planting, space made for NEW raised beds in the backyard, trees trimmed, bushes trimmed and removed, and a whole lot more done inside & out! Thank you to everyone who helped make this spring’s Work Day a success, especially our friends from our local churches.

The Corner House is a small-but-mighty urban green space in the bustling heart of the UWM neighborhood. We want to be an oasis of beauty and deep-rooted community for students. We’re working on growing a bounty of veggies to share with our neighbors, too!

ICYMI - our Spring Workday is this Saturday, May 2! 🪴🪏🧽🧹

Students, alumni, and friends of all ages and abilities are invited to lend a hand to care for our beloved indoor & outdoor spaces. Never been to the Corner House? Our workdays are a great place to start!

Hand tools, cleaning supplies, and refreshments will be provided; sturdy, closed-toed footwear is encouraged for all volunteers. DM us or email Pastor Eli with questions.

Thanks to everyone who came for our garden planning & potting night! We potted over 50 tomato and pepper seedlings, and brainstormed new garden layouts to make the most of our urban gardening space.

At the Corner House, you never have to hide who you are. 🏳️‍⚧️💕

March 31 is International Transgender Day of Visibility: a day to celebrate the trans community and raise awareness about anti-trans discrimination. It’s more important than ever that we cherish our transgender siblings and uplift their voices.

We believe that God loves everyone, no exceptions. 💜✝️ That means transgender people are welcome at the Corner House, exactly as they are! It also means that we’re committed to creating a world where everyone feels safe, seen, loved, and respected.

Holy Week has begun! There are so many different ways to worship, wonder, and celebrate this week:

🕯️ on Wednesday, we’re carpooling to the Joan of Arc Chapel to attend a Tenebrae service with our friends at

🍷 on Thursday, we’ll gather around the table at Corner House to retell the story of Jesus’ last meal with his friends

✝️ on Friday, we’ll gather at the foot of the cross at Lake Park ELCA to remember Jesus’ final words

🔥 on Saturday night, we’ll stoke a new fire at St. Mark’s and declare Christ’s resurrection

💐 on Sunday morning, we’ll celebrate the new life we have in Jesus at churches across the city

🌈 And on the next Thursday, we’ll keep the party going with an Easter celebration at the Corner House!

Our neighborhood in Milwaukee got over ten inches of snow last night! 😱

To keep everyone in our community safe, the Corner House is closed today. All in-person events, including tonight’s St. Patrick’s Day craft night, have been canceled.

We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing snow day. Please keep our unhoused neighbors and city snow removal crews in your prayers. 🙏❄️

The first step on the journey of Lent is Ash Wednesday. 💜
We have plenty of opportunities for you to mark the beginning of this sacred season:

📖 Bible Study, Tonight (Monday) @ 6:30 ~ We’re discussing Lenten “fasting” and other spiritual practices.
⏳ Ashes & Blessings “on the way”, for students on the go ~ drop by between 8 AM and 12 PM on Wednesday to receive ashes and a blessing from Pastor Eli! The prayer room will be open with stations & resources for reflection.
🙏 Ash Wednesday Service, Wednesday @ 5 PM ~ a brief spoken service of scripture & prayer, with imposition of ashes and Holy Communion.
🍷🫓 Weekly Worship, Thursday @ 5:30 PM ~ our usual weekly service with Holy Communion, with a special sung liturgy for Lent! 🎶 Join us afterward for a free dinner.

All are welcome as we begin the Lenten journey together!

Come meet God on the mountaintop with us. 🌄

Our theme for this week is the Transfiguration! Peer Minister Kamila Gutierrez will be leading a Bible study on Matthew 17:1-9 tonight at 6:30 PM.

Then on Thursday at 5:30 PM, we’ll continue to explore the story of the Transfiguration at worship, followed by a pasta dinner from Lake Park Lutheran Church.

Candlemas 2026 🕯️ We smashed & melted old candles, poured & blessed the new ones, and learned about the Festival of the Presentation! (AKA, when Mary and Joseph took Jesus to the temple, and Simeon was like, “Hey, your baby’s a cool baby,” and Anna was like, “WOAH, that baby is CRAZY.”)
