We covered a TON of ground in Rome over the last few days.
✝️"My favorite was getting to see St. Paul's. I was moved to think I was standing right about where my confirmation saint, St. Paul, was chained and then went to be martyred!" - Ryder Clark, Confirmation sponsor - Teresa Goehring
✝️"I was really impacted by the prison cell of St. Paul. I always relate my suffering to him because he suffered so much. But seeing his prison cell really put into perspective how much he suffered and how little I suffer. He was shipwrecked, imprisoned, scourged, stoned. I've just been asked to sweat a little bit. Seeing his prison cell put everything into perspective." - Zach Steffens, seminarian
✝️"Coming back to the city is always special. Spending five years of formation here was an incredible gift and Rome truly became home so to be able to not only come back but to be able to share the gifts this city holds with the seminarians, students, and chaperones is an incredible blessing. We have celebrated the Mass in some truly unique churches. The Mass is the same sacrament as it is in the parish back home, but to be saying Mass surrounded by the apostles and saints of the Church adds a deeper level of intimacy and intentionality. Our newly ordained deacons have both preached intensely spiritual and moving homilies. They have been a gift to the other pilgrims on the trip." - Fr. Zach Jones
