Children of varying ages 6 months-6 years old will join you while their families are in worship for preplanned and already prepped age appropriate and FUN activities and games.

This Thursday is an important evening at A Million Dreams Learning Center. This year there have been exciting renovations and improvements to the classrooms, new staff, and continued growth.

Everyone is welcome to the AMDLC Open House at Milford First this Thursday, September 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

We’re incredibly proud that A Million Dreams Learning Center calls Milford First home. This ministry is an important part of who we are and the way we serve children and families in our community. We’re excited to celebrate this new chapter with the AMDLC family! ❤️

Yesterday we learned about Barnabas, a 'Hidden Figure' who encouraged others and helped put them in a position to succeed. On Labor Day, we recognize the Hidden Figures whose work keeps our communities, workplaces, and families going, and to remember the dignity and value of every worker.

From one hidden figure to another… 👀

If you caught today’s message, you heard us compare Bengals legend Anthony Muñoz to Barnabas—someone who used his influence not to claim the spotlight, but to shine it on others.

But here’s the beautiful part: Milford First UMC is filled with Barnabases.

Meet two of them: Sharon Leever (left) and Lora Thompson (right). Even today, they were behind the scenes in our A Million Dreams Learning Center infant room, installing new items to help create a safer, more welcoming environment for our littlest neighbors. ❤️

And that’s only a glimpse of what they do.

💡 Burned-out light? Replaced.
🚪 Sagging doorknob? Repaired.
📁 Files and records? Organized.
🔧 Something needs attention? Chances are, they’re already on it.

Much of their work happens when no one is watching—which is exactly the point.

Mission and ministry don’t happen only on stages, behind pulpits, or in the spotlight. They happen because faithful people quietly notice what needs to be done…and do it.

Today, we thank God for Sharon, Lora, and ALL the hidden figures who make ministry possible every single day at Milford First UMC.
