Value of the Month: Renewal of the Mind 😇
At MRC, we're seeking transformation by having our thoughts shaped by Christ.
June invites us to reset our rhythms and step into summer with clarity, hope, and a Christ-shaped perspective. Consider responding with grace instead of frustration, seeing people with compassion, and holding hope when circumstances feel heavy.
“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” — Romans 12:1-2

Senior Sunday: Charlie Michael Van Beek 🎓
Congratulations to Charlie on his high school graduation! 🎉 This summer, Charlie will be interning with the Mackinac Center for Public Policy before attending Calvin University in the fall, where he plans to explore a degree in business and play soccer.

In his free time, Charlie enjoys soccer, disc golf, weight-lifting, reading, and water sports like slalom skiing and wakeboarding.

His favorite Bible verse is Romans 3:23-24:
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus".

Join us in celebrating Charlie and praying for him as he begins this exciting new chapter! 💙

Monthly Gratitude Moment ✨
As May comes to a close, we’re grateful for a month spent intentionally pausing to pray, praise, and reflect together through our “May We” series. From the beauty of creation to the gift of community, God’s abundant provision, and the work He calls us to, we’ve been reminded of His faithfulness in every season.

What’s one thing you’re thankful for this month? Share in the comments so we can celebrate together, and check out what our MRC staff are grateful for too! 💛

May We: A May Prayer Series 🌼
This week: May we praise God for our work. We pray for those who are unemployed or struggling in their vocation.

Work is one of the ways God allows us to serve others, use our gifts, and participate in His ongoing care for the world. We give thanks for meaningful labor and daily purpose, while also praying for those facing uncertainty, discouragement, or hardship in their work and calling.

Moments of joy from our prayer-themed LIFT event 💛
It was a beautiful evening of Living In Faith Together yesterday. We’re thankful for the food, good conversations, and meaningful moments centered around prayer and community.

As we prepare for our upcoming A Praying Life Seminar, we’re reminded that prayer grows not only in quiet moments with God but also through encouragement and connection with one another.

Tuesday Travelers highlight ✨ This past Tuesday, our Tuesday Travelers enjoyed an informative tour of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan. Established in 1981, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has vigorously pursued the mission to eradicate hunger within the community.
As a Consistory and congregation, MRC has decided to focus our community engagement on food insecurity and loneliness. We feel encouraged by our congregation's participation in this tour and hope to draw upon their experience to help plan some intergenerational outreach events around this focus.

Moments from the Great Lakes Loons vs. Whitecaps game ⚾
MRC Student Ministry went out with a bang💥this past Sunday! For the final youth event of the school year, middle and high school students and their families geared up to watch the Loons beat the Whitecaps 4-0.
We hope everyone had a great time in fellowship together.

May We: A May Prayer Series 🌼
This week: May we praise God for his abundant provision. We pray for those who lack basic necessities like reliable housing and healthy food.

God is faithful to provide for our needs, often in ways that remind us of His care and generosity. As we give thanks for His provision in our own lives, we also lift up those who are struggling, asking God to meet them with both practical help and sustaining grace.
