Distinctives

Independent
We believe in the autonomy or independence of the local church. We believe that each body of believers ought to answer only to the head of the church, who is Christ. We do not owe allegianc

e to any denominational or national body which might cause us to compromise our faith or practice. (Ephesians 1:22; 5:23; Colossians 1:18)

Fundamental
We believe in declaring and defending the fundamentals of the faith. We believe that we are commanded to "earnestly contend for the faith" (Jude 3) and that this will always involve separation from those who are deviating from the clear stand on the gospel and the related doctrines of the Word of God. We also believe that we are commanded to separate from disobedient brethren who, after all efforts of reconciliation are past, refuse to align their belief or behavior with the Word of God. God's Word is clear on these matters. (Romans 16:17; I Corinthians 5:11-13; II Corinthians 6:14-18; Ephesians 5:11; II Thessalonians 3:14-15; Titus 3:10-11)

Evangelistic
We believe that every believer has a primary God-given responsibility to go forth and tell all of the saving grace of God found in Jesus Christ. This we do by going ourselves and sending forth others to every part of the world to tell of God's love gift for them. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8)

We welcome you to worship the Lord with us this Sunday: Here is preview for this Sunday's worship gatherings:

9:30 AM - Sunday School for All Ages
Grade school children move up and be "promoted" into their new Sunday School classes as needed. The youth and adults will resume their study in 1 Peter.

10:40 AM - Morning Worship
We will be observing Communion together. The sermon will be from Ephesians 6:14. After the Morning Worship gathering, we will be having a Labor Day Fellowship Meal.

[We will not be gathering this Sunday for Evening Bible Study.]
