An Update on Pastor Jerome 🙏

For those who may not have heard, our pastor, Pastor Jerome Krejcha, was involved in a serious car accident on Friday, September 4, and has remained hospitalized since. We are so grateful for every prayer being lifted on behalf of Jerome, Jen, and their family.

Jerome sustained several significant injuries, including fractures, burns, a concussion, and injuries affecting the movement and strength in his arms. While there is still much healing ahead and some unanswered questions, we are thankful for encouraging signs of progress. His burns appear to be healing, and his doctors are encouraged enough by his improvement that he may be moved to a step-down room today or tomorrow. We praise God for every step forward.

And, in case anyone was wondering, Jen confirmed the accident did not affect Pastor Jerome’s sarcasm or sense of humor. 😂 This morning he announced that for his next trick, he plans to jump the Grand Canyon. 🤪 We are certainly thankful to see the Pastor we all know and love shining through!

This morning at Antioch, Pastor Doug preached a timely message on how Christians respond to the unexpected—a message that met our church family in a very personal way this weekend. Spoiler: we should be encouraged by WHO Christ is.

We ended our service in corporate prayer. Much of our congregation gathered at the altar while the rest joined from their pews. Together, as one church body, we lifted Pastor Jerome before the Lord, praying in unity for divine healing, strength, and complete restoration.

We are praying not only for what God will do for Jerome, but also for what God will do through him during this unexpected journey. We pray for every doctor, nurse, therapist, patient, family member, and person he encounters in the hospital—that lives will be touched and that the light of Christ will shine even in the midst of this difficult season.

And we are praying expectantly for the day Pastor Jerome walks out of that hospital as a living testimony to the goodness, faithfulness, healing power, and glory of God.

Please continue to surround Pastor Jerome, Jen, and their family in prayer. There is still much healing ahead, but we know the One who holds every detail.

Antioch family, keep those prayers coming! 🙏❤️

Sometimes a church hallway becomes a river. 💙

This Wednesday, our PreK–1st grade class learned about baby Moses and how his mother trusted God to protect her precious baby as she placed him in a basket along the river. After talking through the story together, the children gathered in the hallway—and with those sweet little imaginations, suddenly they weren’t at Antioch anymore. They were sitting beside the Nile, watching baby Moses float along. 🧺🌿

What a gift it is to watch God’s Word come alive through the eyes of a child! We are so thankful for our children, for the parents who faithfully bring them, and for the teachers who pour their time and love into helping them know and love Jesus. ❤️

👋🏼 We’d love for your family to be part of these midweek moments at Antioch! Every Wednesday from 7–8 PM, there’s a place for the whole family—from classes for ages 3 through high school, to our Young Adult Small Group, Adult Bible Study, and Prayer Group.

Come grow with us on Wednesday nights. There’s a place for you! 🌿📖
