🌿✨ Adventure Awaits at Emerald Crossing VBS!
Summer is here, and Watkins Chapel Baptist Church has something incredible planned for your kids. This July, we're launching Emerald Crossing — our 2025 Vacation Bible School experience from Answers in Genesis — and we are so excited to welcome children from across our community for a week they will never forget.
❓What is Emerald Crossing?
Emerald Crossing takes kids on a journey through God's Word, weaving together adventure, discovery, and truth. Each day is packed with engaging Bible lessons, high-energy worship, creative crafts, exciting games, and friendships that last well beyond the summer. Every activity is designed with one goal in mind: helping your children know and love Jesus more.
Here's everything you need to know:
🎉 Kickoff Celebration
Saturday, July 11 | 4:00–6:00 PM
Before the adventure officially begins, we're throwing a party! Come out on Saturday evening for our VBS Kickoff Celebration. Meet the leaders, preview the theme, and get your kids fired up for the week ahead. This is a great chance to check in, pick up any materials, and connect with other families. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to have fun!
📖 Day 1 — Sunday Morning
Sunday, July 12 | 10:00 AM
VBS launches right in the middle of our Sunday morning worship service! Bring the whole family on July 12 as we kick off Day 1 together. It's the perfect way to start the week — worshipping together and sending your kids out on their Emerald Crossing adventure.
🌙 Days 2–5 — Evening Sessions
Monday–Thursday, July 13–16 | 6:30–8:30 PM
The adventure continues each evening for four more nights. Drop your kids off for two full hours of Bible teaching, worship, games, crafts, and more. Each night builds on the last, taking them deeper into God's Word and deeper into the story of Emerald Crossing.
🍽️ Dinner Served Nightly
On Monday through Thursday, we'll have dinner available starting at 5:45 PM — so feel free to come early, grab a plate, and let the kids enjoy a meal with their friends before the evening session begins. No need to rush through the drive-through on the way out the door!
🤔 Who Can Come?
Emerald Crossing VBS is open to children ages 3 (potty trained) through rising 12th grade. Whether your child is just old enough to sit in circle time or heading into their senior year of high school, there is a place for them at Watkins Chapel this summer. Bring your kids, invite your neighbors, text that family from down the road — every child is welcome here.
We believe the greatest thing we can do for a child is introduce them to Jesus. VBS is one of the best weeks of the entire year for that to happen. Kids hear the gospel clearly. They sing songs that will stick with them for years. They make memories with other kids who love the Lord. And sometimes — more often than people expect — God does something in a child's heart during a week like this that changes the entire direction of their life.
We don't take that lightly. Our leaders are preparing, praying, and ready to pour themselves into this week because they love your kids and they love the Lord.
