Today, Pastor Rowlands traveled to our neighboring ELCA congregation, Divinity Lutheran Church in Parma Heights Ohio, as our own Elizabeth Rowlands joined 35 children for vacation Bible school. This weeks theme for VBS is “Food Truck Party.”

Today’s theme focused on Exodus 16, God providing manna and quails to the Israelites.

Join us at Divinity Lutheran Church for this week’s Vacation Bible School from June 15-19, 2026 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Come one day or all 5 days!

Today, our pastor, Rev. Emilie Theobald-Rowlands was on the road this afternoon to attend the installation service of Rev. Debbie Pinnegar who has been called jointly by St. John Lutheran Church in Lakeville (McZena) OH and Zion Lutheran Church in Loudonville OH.

We lift up our prayers for the people of St. John, McZena, Zion, Loudonville and for Pastor Pinnegar as they enter into a new chapter of ministry together.

This evening, 9 folks from Bethel Lutheran Church joined our neighbors from various organizations, businesses, non profits and faith communities in the Summer in the City Parade, sponsored by the City of Middleburg Heights!

We are thankful to be part of this experience as we join with our neighbors from around the City of Middleburg Heights and neighboring communities!

Come and join us on the Parade Route this Thursday evening on June 11, 2026 for the Middleburg Heights Summer in the City Parade!

We will be meeting at the Big Creek Service Drive near 7247 Big Creek Parkway at 6pm.

Pearl Rd is closed at 6:15pm, so please be prompt. Wear red or your Bethel Lutheran Church shirts.

We will have bags of candy to toss to parade-goers.

We look forward to seeing everyone here on Thursday!

🎶 This past Sunday, we celebrated Choir Appreciation Sunday. What a joy it was to honor these people who fill our sanctuary with song week after week. Bethel has been blessed with a rich musical heritage, and so much of that is thanks to the faithful hearts of our choir. Many of our members have served in this ministry for decades — through seasons of joy, grief, growth, and change. Each person brings something irreplaceable: a unique gift, a generous spirit, a willingness to adapt, and yes — plenty of good humor along the way. Together, they don't just perform music. They lead us into worship. We are deeply grateful for you, Bethel Choir. May God continue to bless you and the gift you so faithfully share. 🙏
