We are an active congregation that reaches out in worship and service as we teach and preach the saving grace of Jesus Christ. We are a good mix of active retired people and younger families with children of all ages. The thing we al

We also have a great love for Middleburg Heights Community Church and wish to see its ministry continue to grow and prosper. We offer many opportunities to become involved in our church from our inspirational Christian education program to our mission outreach activities to participation in one of our choirs. We feel that we truly have a wonderful ministry at this church and want to invite you to discover all the great things this church has to offer. Shall I Be Fruitful? 3rd Sunday after Pentecost 2026 - Sermon
What happens when we begin to believe that our best years are behind us? In Genesis 18:1-15, Sarah laughs at the idea that God could still do something new through her life. Yet God's promise reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of grace, purpose, or possibility. This Sunday, we will explore how God continues to call and use people of every age, ability, and circumstance. Together, we will discover that each of us has something valuable to offer, and that God's work of bringing new life is never limited by what the world considers useful.

Faithy Friday: As our Middleburg Missionaries prepare to travel to Lotts Creek, Kentucky, next week, we hold this trip in prayer.

For the travelers: May God grant them safe travels and open hearts. May they be filled with compassion and ready hands. May they learn from the people they serve as much as they give. May their faith be deepened through this experience of service. May they return home with stories of transformation and connection.

For the Lotts Creek community: May they feel the presence of love and support. May their housing needs be met with dignity and care. May they experience the joy of community coming together. May they know they are not forgotten or alone.

For the work to be done: May the projects undertaken be helpful and lasting. May the skills of all volunteers be used wisely. May the work be done with excellence and love. May it be a blessing to all who participate and receive.

For our church community: May we continue to support our missionaries in prayer. May we be inspired by their example of service. May we find ways to serve here at home. May we grow in our commitment to justice and compassion.

God of all journeys and all communities, be with our Middleburg Missionaries as they prepare to serve. May their hands be ready, their hearts be open, and their faith be stretched and strengthened. May this mission trip be a time of growth, connection, and blessing for all involved. Amen.

Tangible Tuesday: Who Are the Middleburg Missionaries?

Middleburg Missionaries are members and friends of all ages and abilities who want to use hands-on projects to help others. They're people like YOU who answer the call to serve.

Our annual mission trip to Lotts Creek, KY, is coming up June 15โ€“19. This life-changing experience includes:
โ˜… Learning about rural Appalachian housing and economic struggles
โ˜… Building relationships with the community
โ˜… Working on projects from ramps and drywall to playground equipment
โ˜… Staying in a dorm with mountain views
โ˜… Sharing meals and fellowship together

Our relationship with this community extends back to 1980, and we're honored to continue this legacy of service.

While the opportunity to join the Lotts Creek Mission Trip has passed, stay tuned for pictures from it in a couple of weeks. We commission our Middleburg Missionaries for this annual trip this Sunday.

If God Is Love... Message from the 2nd Sunday after Pentecost:
What does it mean to say that God is love? We explore one of the most profound claims in scripture: "God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God." As we reflect on the radical nature of divine love, we will consider how God's love welcomes, transforms, and calls us into deeper relationship with one another. In a world that often divides and excludes, we gather to celebrate a love that casts out fear, honors human dignity, and reminds us that all people are beloved.

Scripture: 1 John 4:7-11, 19-21

Faithy Friday: Blessing from a Rainbow
May you see yourself reflected in all the colors of creation.

May you know the deep truth of your own worth, beyond any measure or definition.

May you walk through this world with authenticity and courage, unafraid to be fully who you are.

May you find your community, your people who see you and celebrate you exactly as you are.

May you remember that after every darkness comes light, after every rain comes the promise of something new and beautiful.

May you be a beacon of hope and inclusion in a world that so desperately needs it.

May you live from the place of your own truth, knowing that you are sacred and beloved just as you are.

May you carry this blessing of belonging with you always, a reminder that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

Thoughtful Thursday: What Does It Mean to Be an Ally?
This month, we're celebrating Pride, honoring Juneteenth, recognizing Men's Mental Health Month, acknowledging National Immigrant Heritage Month, observing Loving Day, and standing against hate speech. These moments invite us to ask: What does it mean to be an ally?

In our faith tradition, being an ally isn't about charity, it's about solidarity. It's about recognizing that our liberation is bound up with the liberation of others. As Jesus taught, "Love your neighbor as yourself"โ€”and our neighbor includes everyone, especially those who are vulnerable or marginalized.

Being an ally means:
๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿฝ Listening more than speaking, especially to those with lived experience
๐Ÿ“š Educating ourselves about issues affecting different communities
๐Ÿ“ฃ Amplifying voices that are often marginalized or silenced
โœŠ๐Ÿฝ Standing with those facing injustice, even when it's uncomfortable
๐Ÿค” Learning from our mistakes and growing in our commitment to justice
๐Ÿ’ž Acting consistently, not just in moments of crisis

As people of faith, we're called to protect and care for the vulnerable: not out of pity, but out of recognition that we are all part of the same human family, all beloved by God.

Where is God calling you to be an ally this month?

What's Up Wednesday: This Saturday, June 6, we're marching in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ siblings and allies at Pride in the CLE! We'll be joining other faith groups to show visible support for love, justice, and inclusion.

Logistics:
๐Ÿš„ We'll be riding the RTA train together from the Brookpark station to downtown.
๐Ÿ“ฒ DM us to connect and coordinate with our church group.
๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ Look for our church tees and our "Love is for Everyone" banner" - and our smiling faces!

Marching with church family sends a powerful message: our faith calls us to love and include everyone, exactly as they are. We believe in a church where all peopleโ€”regardless of sexual orientation or gender identityโ€”can find welcome, belonging, and affirming community.

Whether you identify as LGBTQ+ or as an ally, all are welcome to join us as we celebrate love and stand for justice in the public square.

See you Saturday. Let's show Cleveland what Christian love looks like!
