Walking tacos. Live music. Big questions about faith and creativity.

This weekend at The Bridge reminded us how powerful community can be.

Thursday we explored the story of Jesus’ resurrection over walking tacos and conversation. Friday, Galen Porter and Kick-Start filled the room with energy as the Dare to Believe Tour kicked off. And today, our first Bridge Artist Circle asked a question that stayed with all of us:

“What makes a masterpiece?”

From music to meaningful conversations, this weekend was full of moments that mattered.

That moment reminded us why this space exists.

Not just for rehearsals.
Not just for performances.

But to create a place to connect.

A place where artists, worship teams, and local bands can come together, grow, and create.

We’ve watched musicians walk in nervous and leave encouraged, confident, and inspired.

More than music, this is ministry.
This is not a venue, it’s a place to connect.

Networking used to feel fake to me.

Like the second you became intentional about building relationships as an artist, it somehow stopped being genuine.

But I've realized healthy networking in creative spaces isn't about "networking" at all. It's about building real artistic relationships over time.

A lot of artists want community, but feel guilty admitting they also want connection, opportunity, and support.

The artists who seem to thrive long term usually:

✅Support other artists publicly
✅Share resources freely
✅Stay connected consistently
✅Celebrate other people's wins
✅Build trust before they need anything

That's not "using people."
That's community.

The starving, isolated, genius narrative sounds romantic- but most sustainable creative careers are built through collaboration, referrals, mentorship, and mutual support.

48 hours. One café. Zero clue what I was walking into. 🎬☕️

Friday, the Bridge was serving up karaoke. By Saturday, it was full of cameras, costumes, sleep-deprived actors, and a film crew running entirely on caffeine and adrenaline.

The team behind Buster transformed the space for the Boston 48 Hour Film Project- and somehow delivered a finished film before the deadline.
