🌟 Welcome to Memorial Baptist Church!

This Sunday, we continue our summer series through Philippians, "Joy in Christ," with a message that speaks to one of our deepest needs as believers: learning how to experience joy together.

🎙️ This Week’s Sermon: “Joy Together”
Pastor Dan will be preaching from Philippians 1:27–2:4, where Paul challenges believers to stand firm together, serve one another, and protect the unity of the church. In a culture that often encourages individualism, God calls His people to something greater—a Christ-centered community marked by humility, love, and genuine care for one another. This message will remind us that some of life's greatest joys are found not in isolation, but in walking alongside other believers as we follow Christ together.

🍀🌈 THE DAY YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR IS HERE! 🌈🍀

Volunteer registration for Emerald Crossing VBS is officially OPEN!

Every summer, God does incredible things through VBS, and this year will be no exception. From July 20–24, children will journey through the beautiful Irish countryside at Emerald Crossing VBS, discovering that Jesus is their Good Shepherd who guides, protects, provides, and cares for them every day.

But here's the exciting part...

God uses YOU to make it happen.

Whether you're leading a group of kids, helping with games, crafts, missions, registration, decorations, dinner for volunteers, or serving behind the scenes, every role matters. Every conversation matters. Every smile matters. Every volunteer helps create a week where children can hear the Gospel, build friendships, and experience the love of Christ.

🍽️ Volunteer Dinner: 4:45 PM–5:15 PM
🙏 Prayer Huddle: 5:30 PM (required for all volunteers)

🌊 Sunday Funday Celebration: July 26 | 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

Volunteer opportunities are available for students who have completed 6th grade through adults.

The children may remember the games, songs, and crafts, but our prayer is that they'll remember the Savior they met along the way.

We’re officially on our way to Camp Tanglewood! 🙌🌲

This week is about so much more than fun and activities—it’s an opportunity for our students to grow deeper in their faith, build lasting friendships, and encounter God in a powerful way. We’re praying for life-changing worship, meaningful conversations, and hearts that are open to what the Lord wants to do.

Thank you to everyone who has prayed for and supported our students. We can’t wait to see all that God has in store this week at Camp Tanglewood!

🌟 Welcome to Memorial Baptist Church!

This Sunday, we begin an exciting brand-new summer sermon series through the book of Philippians called Joy in Christ. In a world filled with stress, uncertainty, and endless distractions, Philippians reminds us that true joy is not found in our circumstances—it is found in Jesus Christ.

🎙️ This Week’s Sermon: “The Secret of Joy”
Pastor Dan will be preaching from Philippians 1:1-11 as we kick off this journey through one of the most encouraging books in the New Testament. Written from a prison cell, Paul's letter overflows with joy and teaches us that lasting joy comes from Gospel partnership, confidence in God's promises, and a growing love for Christ and others. If you've ever wondered how to have joy even when life isn't going your way, this message is for you.

💧 Baptism Celebration
This Sunday will also include the baptism of Heliouz Sthormes. There is nothing more exciting than seeing someone publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. We hope you'll join us as we celebrate what God is doing in his life and rejoice together as a church family.

What if the secret to real joy isn’t found in better circumstances, but in a deeper relationship with Christ?

The funeral service for our beloved deacon, John Ard, will be held at Memorial Baptist Church on Friday, May 29 at 12:00 PM.

Visitation for family and friends will take place from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service.

John faithfully served the Lord and loved his church family deeply. He was a blessing and encouragement to so many, and he will be greatly missed. Please continue to pray for his family and loved ones during this difficult time as we gather together to honor his life and celebrate the hope we have in Christ.

🌟 Welcome to Memorial Baptist Church!

This Sunday, we conclude our powerful sermon series “Without a Doubt” with a message titled “Living Proof” from Matthew 5:13–16. Over the past several weeks, we’ve tackled some of the biggest questions surrounding our faith and discovered that Christianity is not built on blind belief, but on truth we can stand on with confidence. As we close out this series, Pastor Dan will challenge us with a deeply personal question: Does your life reflect the reality of Jesus Christ?

🎙️ This Week’s Sermon: “Living Proof”
In Matthew 5, Jesus calls believers the salt of the earth and the light of the world. This message will focus on what it means to live in such a way that our lives visibly point people toward Christ. In a confused and hurting world, God has called His people to preserve truth, shine brightly, and reflect the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Christianity is not merely something we defend with our words—it’s something we display with our lives.

✝️ Memorial Day Weekend
As we head into Memorial Day weekend, we’ll also pause to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that a life lived for something greater leaves a lasting impact. As believers, we are called to live lives that point others toward the hope, truth, and salvation found in Jesus Christ.
