District Church

District Church Welcome to District Church! We are a campus of The Tabernacle Church. Our services begin at 6:00PM on Saturday nights with childcare services available.

We currently meet inside Good Shepherd Church on West Esplanade. Spirit-filled church that meets in Metairie, LA. We love Jesus and we love people! We meet every Sunday at 9am and childcare is provided for children ages newborn to 10 years old at our service. We'd love to have you!

What a powerful way to close out our Signs of Life series!

This Saturday, Pastor Lee reminded us that Jesus calls us to be with Him, and then He sends us out with His power through the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses.

We cannot bring what we have not received.

We have to breathe Him in; receive His life, His presence, and His Spirit and then breathe Him out by bringing His life to the people around us.

It all starts with His breath of life made available to us. When we receive Him, we receive life. And the life He gives us was never meant to stop with us. ❤️

Receive His life.
Be empowered by His Spirit.
Share His life with others.

God doesn’t just restore what was lost, He makes it new.

In Saturday’s message, we were reminded through the story of the prodigal son that even when we find ourselves lost, broken, or far from God, He is still a faithful Father who meets us with compassion.

Restoration begins when we:
• Repent — come to our senses and turn back to Him.
• Receive forgiveness — knowing the Father meets us with compassion.
• Walk in our identity — not as fixer-uppers, but as children of God.

The Father doesn’t just bring us back. He restores our honor, our authority, and our identity.

Come join us every Thursday at 6:30 PM for Life Night—a place to connect and grow deeper in the Lord together.
