Our Saviour's Lutheran Church A congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, striving to love and serve all people We are served by . Worship Schedule
Saturdays 4:30 p.m.

Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church has been active in Merrill since 1885. We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and the East-Central Synod of Wisconsin (ECSW). We believe the Triune God creates the church and sustains it through Word and Sacrament by power of the Holy Spirit. We strive to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, God’s message of love and salvation for the world,

so all people may hear the Good News, be drawn to Christ, and live out God’s mission in the world. Sundays 9:00 a.m. We are an inclusive community; all are welcome here in Christ’s church. Please come and check us out for worship, learning and service opportunities. We are excited to listen to your story and learn more about Jesus from you! Holy Communion
Holy Communion is served at all worship services. As Lutherans we believe Christ is present in, with, and under the bread and wine by the power of the Holy Spirit. Through the Spirit's power we receive Christ's body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and are given new life to go out and share God's love in Christ with our neighbors in need. Christ is the host of the meal and the Lord's table at Our Saviour's is open to everyone. Gluten free wafers and juice are available. First communion classes are offered for children in fifth grade as part of our confirmation program. However, classes are also offered for children wishing to participate in Holy Communion at a younger age.

This video concludes Luke's epic portrait of Jesus of Nazareth, setting the stage for his second volume, Acts. The tomb is empty and Jesus is alive, seated as the ruler of God’s Kingdom.

Jesus' death was not the end of the story. See the epic conclusion of Luke's account of Jesus' life and mission on Earth.

Bonhoeffer was a German theologian who wrote profoundly, yet in an accessible manner. In the Second World War, he became a leader of the Confessing Church in Germany that resisted the N**i movement. Linked to a plot to kill Hi**er, he was hanged shortly before the end of the war.

Jesus defeated the powers and principalities on the cross. The Resurrection is proof that the power of our world is unable to affect us or our salvation.

The word emet is a common word used to describe God in the Bible. It can be translated as “faithfulness” or “truth.” So when the authors say that God is “full of emet,” they are saying that he is trustworthy—we can trust him. But trusting isn’t always an easy thing. In this video, we look at why we can trust that God is full of emet.

Emet is a word meaning "faithfulness" or "truth," and it's used throughout the Bible to describe God. Watch this video to see how God is full of emet.

We are still having the meal tonight at 6pm. Come fellowship and worship with us.

On Maundy Thursday, we remember Christ's last meal with his disciples, but the central focus is his commandment that we love one another as he loves us.

"The Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, 'This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.'

In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, 'This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me! For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes" (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).

See you at 6pm.
