This is the first-ever Disciples Mission Week!

The goals of Disciples Mission Week are to educate and create awareness around the issues that congregations are addressing and care deeply about; inspire volunteer action through a day of service and volunteering in Disciples communities across the U.S. and Canada; and to celebrate and worship in our congregations as we recommit ourselves to continued mission.

Rev. Jill DeFord celebrated 25 years of ordination on Sunday, August 30. She preached on "How Beautiful the Feet That Bring the Good News" at Fairview Christian Church.

Rev. DeFord reminds us that while we often don't experience "empty tomb" moments in our day-to-day lives, we still experience the aliveness of the gospel through our connections with others.

A look at our last Greater Kansas City Christian Church Disciples of Christ Regional Assembly.

In 2024, over 125 KC Disciples gathered at Lee’s Summit Christian Church to discern our Regional Identity.

This year we will gather at Fairview Christian Church to celebrate our new Regional Minister and President, install our 2026-2027 Regional Youth Cabinet, and to explore what it means to be the body of Christ.
