BIG NEWS, Merriam! 🎉

The Madam CJ Walker School has officially been added to the National Register of Historic Places! 🏛️✨

This isn't just a historic designation. It's our community's story being recognized FOREVER.

Seventy-seven years ago, right here in Merriam, the Webb v. School District 90 (1949) case challenged segregated schools years before Brown v. Board of Education made national headlines. Local families stood up, spoke out, and WON, helping pave the way for educational equality across Kansas and the nation.

Now, that story will never be forgotten. 📖🙌
