Meet FOCUS Missionary, Krista Wegerer!

Krista is a 2nd year missionary and we are so excited to have her at the UofM this year! She graduated from Emporia State University where she studied Art Education.

Some fun facts about Krista is that she loves oil painting, scrapbooking, her favorite dessert is dark chocolate with raspberries, she loves the color light yellow, and her favorite musician is Ben Rector.

Gray is a 1st year missionary from Kansas City, Go Chiefs! He graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Criminology.

Some fun facts about Gray is that he has been Catholic for just 4 months (swipe to see a picture of his Baptism at Easter!), his favorite band is Metallica, and his favorite sport to play is basketball.

What a special morning it was to gather in mass to celebrate the start of the Lenten season! Let us allow the ashes on our foreheads today be a symbol of penance and a reminder of repentance. May these next 40 days serve as an opportunity to grow closer to our Lord so that we may rejoice together in His resurrection!

Ash Wednesday is right around the corner and we are happy to announce that we will be offering mass in the University Center’s Theatre @ 11:30 am. All are welcome!!

Also join us later in the evening on Wednesday, March 5th at our Catholic Center for a FREE grilled cheese and soup dinner @ 7pm. Hope to see you there!

All are welcome! Tiger Catholic is hosting its first annual Chili Cookoff TOMORROW from 6:30-8:30pm. $8 entry, all you can eat chili and grilled cheeses! Proceeds from this event will go towards funding Sunday Brunches, sending students on retreats, and more of our general programming needs.

A big thank you to all of the families and supporters who donated chili for this event. Winning pot will take home their very own Tiger Catholic themed gift basket!
