Yesterday was filled with Sips of Strength! ☕️💗✨

We had a beautiful afternoon tea designed to encourage, uplift, and pour back into around 60 beautiful ladies gathered right here in Memphis, Tennessee, at For the Kingdom. It was a wonderful reminder of the strength that comes when we take time to connect, encourage, and celebrate one another.

A special thank you to For The Kingdom Memphis for partnering with us and welcoming us to host this special event on your beautiful property. We are so grateful for your hospitality and for helping us create such a meaningful space for women to be refreshed, encouraged, and uplifted. ❤️

We also want to recognize the Orange Mound Ladies for helping capture and put together these beautiful photos from the day! 📸 And a special shoutout to Ms. Latoya, part of our NCC staff, for taking those moments and creating this beautiful video that allows us to relive the joy and spirit of Sips of Strength. 🎥💗

Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday so special. We are grateful for the opportunity to pour strength, hope, and encouragement back into the women of our neighborhood!

We’re having fun, playing games, winning prizes, and most importantly, lifting each other up! There’s something special about taking a little time to laugh, refresh, and remind one another that we are loved and appreciated. 💜

What is 8/28? It’s a day of giving across the Mid-South, led by the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis, bringing neighbors together to support Black-led nonprofits making a difference.

Tomorrow, we’re asking 200 people to give just $8.28 to Neighborhood Christian Centers, Inc. That small gift can make a BIG impact!

Your $8.28 will help support NCC’s Client Choice Food Program, helping neighbors access food with dignity and choice—especially individuals and families facing difficult circumstances, including power loss.
