A little will sustain us comfortably, and a great deal can do no more. We do not know what to wish for, because what we promise ourselves will bring us the most satisfaction often proves most vexatious to us. The book of Solomon shows an evil under the sun, namely the failure to crave more and not enjoy one's blessings right now. Those who have ever so much are still craving for more. Use your blessings right now, because you will never know what will happen next. Our complete satisfaction must be in another life, not in this.

See how God’s ways fall into line. Don’t fight the fact that God sends and controls trials. Enjoy prosperity whenever you can, and when hard times strike, realize that God gives both prosperity and hardship so that everyone will recognize that nothing is certain in this life. Purpose of Trials: God uses trials to lead people to rely on Him for strength rather than on themselves. The Benefits of Trials: To teach obedience, break dependence on self, and hold fast to God’s word. When the way is rough, your patience has a chance to grow, building stronger character, steadfastness, maturity, and humility, and making your faith more precious than gold. God uses trials to show His strength in human weakness. He is providing you with strength right now so that you can comfort others. And still be praising God no matter what.
