A Message from Pastor Spight

A wise choice comes from God. God enables us to make wise choices. Solomon told God he did not know how to go out or come in. He then said to God, "You have chosen me to be a king." He made a humble statement: “He acknowledges his youth, inexperience, and the great responsibility of leading God's chosen people.” He then asked God for an understanding heart to discern right from wrong. God was pleased with Solomon’s request and gave him a bonus he didn’t ask for: riches and honor. Today, make a wise choice and don’t compromise. A little compromise leads to a downfall. 1 Kings 3:6-14

A Message from Pastor Spight

We receive a lot of information that expands our knowledge base. You may find yourself in a boiling pot, overwhelmed by all this knowledge. Many like to show off their knowledge through wealth and status, but deep down, they are troubled. Today, ask God to bless you with the focus to attend to your ways and your doings. Time is passing quickly; make this day a fresh start by getting up and exercising your mind, your body, and your soul. Don’t ever succumb to what you don’t feel like doing; transform your thoughts and make it happen. You will be glad you did. Pay attention to your body, mind, and soul. Stay within the boundaries where God’s love can reach and bless you. Jude 1:24-25.


Focus on building yourself up rather than tearing yourself down.

A Message from Pastor Spight

It’s easy to spot the flaws in the people around us and overlook our own shortcomings. A self-inflicted wound keeps us from improving when we fail to see our own flaws. Let’s stop being blind and stop making excuses for our bad habits, harsh words, and other shortcomings. It’s okay to offer corrections to someone, but don’t get upset when someone offers corrections to you as well. We need accountability and constructive criticism, which keep us aware that we haven’t made it yet. The Bible is clear about receiving and loving corrections, but anyone who hates them is stupid. Proverbs 12:1
