Are you ready? Probably not…but, oh well 😂
On the first Sunday this month, I started a sermon series on S*X and I taught my church something, I think we should all consider as it relates to our own s*xual behavior:
1. Is this ethical for me?
2. Is this ethical for them?
3. Is this ethical for others?
We don’t have to agree, but for me, this is a foundational element for a safe and healthy s*xual framework. And, believe it or not...these questions matter in MARRIAGE.
It’s also important to note that in scripture, there’s polygamy, sanctioned s*xual abuse & little to no autonomy for women re: their bodies…
So, to begin your s*xual ethic with “The Bible says” - you have a whole lot to deal with FIRST.
David was an adulterer. Esther’s husband had a harem. Hannah had a sister wife. S***m & Gomorrah included the encouragement of ra**ng young women virgins. The woman at the well didn’t leave those men by choice. Sarah offered Hagar up to be raped…and the passage about “spilling seed” is really not what you think.
There was a whole lot of s*x not happening within marriage and a whole lot of s*x happening without CONSENT!
Just saying…
So, when KevOnStage goes viral for saying he self pleasures & the church loses its mind…
I just say…yall are doing it or have done it, too.
God is right on time, because if you look at the order of sermons that I posted…that was next.
Just make sure you’re in the building Sunday.
