LABOR DAY LUNCH AT THE WORD! 🍗🙌🏾
Today was about more than a meal. It was about community, connection, and making room at the table.
The Word Church Memphis opened our doors for a special Labor Day Lunch, welcoming college students and our local first responders to come eat, relax, connect, and simply know that they have a church family here in Memphis.
And we ate GOOD! 😮💨 Fried chicken, baked chicken, yams, cabbage, green beans, rice and more from Memphis’ historic Four Way.
To every student who stopped by: Welcome Home. Whether you’re at the University of Memphis, CBU, Rhodes, LeMoyne-Owen, Southwest, or another campus in our city, there’s a place for you at The Word.
And to the men and women who serve our community every day: thank you. It was our privilege to serve you today.
