Healing begins when we give ourselves permission to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with our minds, bodies, and spirits.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Pastoral Counselor with Love Abundantly Counseling, I am passionate about helping individuals find healing, hope, and peace through emotional and spiritual wellness practices.

I recently shared a guided Body Scan Exercise designed to help reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and create space for healing from the inside out.

If you or someone you know could benefit from a moment of calm and restoration, I invite you to watch and share.

I am also honored to be the author of "Healing: Inside Out and Outside In – Finding Peace through Spiritual Healing", a resource created to encourage healing and wholeness in everyday life.

When I was in denial, I thought I was protecting myself, but God gently confronted me in that place. In this episode, I talk about how His voice broke through my resistance, leading me to a deeper understanding of His love and purpose. If you’ve ever felt stuck in denial, I hope this story reminds you that God is never far off.

On the Abundantly Love Podcast, I share a deeply personal story—my journey through denial and how it kept me from intimacy with God. I talk about how, in that season, I was held back—but how God met me right there. If you're a single woman feeling stuck, I invite you to listen and see how God can meet you, too. Here’s a clip from the episode.

Forgiveness…….whew, that’s a big word. Why do I say this? Because, when you are hurt so deeply and you see the harm someone has done for you, it’s hard to let go and forgive. Letting go feels as if you are dismissing the wrong someone has don’t to you, but what is holding on to the hurt doing to you? Hum?? It’s leading to bitterness, resentment, a darkening of the heart. This is why Jesus says we are to forgive 77*7. He knows the damage that it does to our hearts and how it hinders our relationship with Him. It’s so sad to see people go to church on Sundays or Wednesdays, praying and singing, thinking they are close to Jesus, but are far away from Him because of a lack of forgiveness. Jesus says “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Why do we make light of this scripture or think Jesus isn’t serious??

I know forgiveness is not easy, but it is something to work towards and to choose to do for our own healing. When don’t, we become prisoners of our pain.

Today, I took my dog to the park for a little self-care—and wow, he was more like a tornado than a calm buddy! But even in all that craziness, I was reminded that self-care doesn’t have to be perfect. This May, let’s all take a moment—whether it’s a walk, a deep breath, or a laugh with a crazy dog—and check in on our mental health. You deserve it!

Ya’ll, my puppy, Koffee, does not know how to recognize emotions yet. I really have to get him trained to be a therapist dog!!

Hey friends, I’m so excited to share something close to my heart. In a recent session, a song was born—‘God Sees You.’ It’s a reminder that you are wonderfully made, deeply loved, and seen by God. As I step into a new season, I’m merging my music—Malika Miller—with my counseling brand, Love Abundantly Counseling & Ministry. My hope is that through both, we bring healing, peace, and a reminder of God’s love. Stay tuned, and I can’t wait to share more with you all.
