The values expressed in sports can unite people, break down barriers, and create spaces bringing together cultures and generations. At a time when competition can become empty rivalry, and exclusion leaves many out, it is important that we rediscover the true meaning of sports as a school of fraternity, respect, and solidarity.

In this month’s prayer, the Holy Father invites us to pray “for the values of sports” so we “discover in sport a universal language that brings cultures together, unites peoples, and sows respect, solidarity and personal growth.”

On this Pentecost Sunday in the Catholic Church, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit continues to guide, strengthen, and renew the Church just as He did for the Apostles on that first Pentecost. Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit, we are called to live our faith boldly, share the Gospel joyfully, and become instruments of God’s love in the world. May the fire of the Holy Spirit fill our hearts with renewed faith, courage, wisdom, and peace as we continue our journey as disciples of Christ.

The 2027 Mass Intention Book will be open and available for your Mass Intention requests beginning on Wednesday June 3. Please limit your requests to three intentions. Rather than coming to the Parish Office, we ask that you call the office (610-566-0185) during daytime regular business hours (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) to reserve your Mass intention requests. At that time, we will let you know when your Mass card(s) will be available for pick up. Please do not leave voice mail messages as we will not be able to respond to them. We thank you and we appreciate your cooperation in working with us to accommodate your requests.

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25, the parish office will be closed. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am, and Adoration will not be held. We remember with gratitude all those who gave their lives in service to our country, and we pray for all who have served and continue to serve.

The St. Carlo Acutis International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles visited our parish last weekend. Many parishioners and visitors came to experience the International Exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles, deepening their understanding of these sacred events and the life of St. Carlo Acutis. A first-class relic was also present, allowing the faithful to reverently touch it with personal items, which then became third-class relics.
