Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School was created in 2012 as a merger of the parish schools of Nativity B.V.M. and St. John Chrysostom. The schools combined their over 150 years of history to create a new community based on the teachings of the Gospel and the importance of nurturing the whole child in mind, body, and spirit. Our Pre-k 3 to 8th grade elementary school, supported by the partnerships of the parishes and families, continues to excel and was recently named a 2020 National Blue Ribbon Schools Awardee by the U.S. Department of Education – one of only 367 schools in the nation!

Congratulations!!! The Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Education recognizes Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School as a 2019 School of Distinction!!! We are 1 of 3 in Delco who is receiving this award.

This prestigious award is in recognition for growth in the Terra Nova Standardized Test. Schools that are in the top 10% of all Archdiocesan Schools and showed between 90% and 100% growth at every grade level tested in every content area on the Terra Nova Test will receive this award.

We congratulate our Students and Faculty for consistent excellence in academics!
