19 members of the Southside Baptist Church of McRae 2026 mission team traveled to Copperhill, TN during the week of June 7 to be a blessing to the residents of the Copper Basin Association. During the team’s visit, 107 families received groceries, 240 residents were fed a meal, 108 brooms and 108 mops were dispensed along with other cleaning and personal supplies provided by Bethel Baptist Church of Glenwood, GA. The team replaced Mrs. Stillwells’ pump house with a new metal roof, removed and replaced the pump houses’ insulation, and replaced her storm door. For Mrs. Hughes, the team was able to remove and replace rotten decking while also building new hand rails. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Copper Basin Association to share the love of Christ and plant seeds of the gospel. “For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To HIM be the glory for ever. Amen.” Romans 11:36

💡 ✝️ This past week, we have been SHINING A LIGHT ON WHO JESUS REALLY IS during our ILLUMINATION STATION VBS (John 8:13). We learned that Jesus is God’s Promised Son, God’s Perfect Son, the Powerful Son of God, the Proven Son of God, and is God’s Plan Salvation! 💡 ✝️ We are so grateful for every child that attended and for each volunteer that joyfully served this week! 💡 ✝️

This week during our Illumination Station VBS, we are shining a light on WHO Jesus really is. Our mission project is collecting laundry detergent for our upcoming mission trip to Copper Basin, TN. The boys and girls are having a friendly competition to see who can collect the most laundry detergent - that group will get to 💦 SPLASH 💦 Brother B L with water balloons! So far, the girls are ahead! Any offering taken up this week will also go towards the purchase of laundry detergent for our mission trip!

What a great day at SSBC as Emerson Evans made her profession of faith in Jesus public. And it is her 8th birthday. I know her parents, Chris and Lesli Evans are so very proud.
