What do you get when you take 9-10 crazy TLC people and hand them paintbrushes and rollers and some “tin Lizzie “ paint ??
You get Trinity Hall painted that’s what !!
A little background on our project. Affordable Painting primed and painted the upper acoustic tile last fall. So many layers of pancake and cooking smoke …..
Then we tackled the lower half of the room. Not quite as simple as it seems. The lower half is wallpapered. It was deemed way to involved to remove the paper. It is commercial paper installed with commercial paste. So we did a little trick play. Recommended by Sherwin Williams. The wallpaper was primed with oil base primer. And then finally painted with two coats of latex in “Tin Lizzie “.
It is a remarkable change. Photos don’t do it justice.
A big THANKS to Donna, Marge, Sandy, Tami, Larry, Mike and especially to Maggie and Duane who painted the entire last coat TODAY.
So what’s next??
After we all catch our breath , we will reconvene and attack the hallways on either end of the kitchen and also the elevator hallway. This might be during the hottest days of summer …….when it’s too darn hot to do things outside.
And then ……we will gather funds to replace the flooring in these areas. 1985 was a LONG time ago. It’s amazing the carpet has lasted this long !!
