Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Welcome to Shepherd of the Hills! Our MISSION is to love people wherever they are, to live the grace of God in Jesus Christ, and to grow in faith and service.

Come and join us! We are an ELCA Lutheran Church located in McHenry, IL. We welcome people from all walks of life and want to meet you wherever you are in your faith journey! We offer in person worship on Saturday evenings at 5:00pm and on Sunday Mornings at 8:30am (traditional service) and 10:00am (contemporary service). We also offer live stream worship at 8:30am. Sunday School for children ages

3yrs old to 5th grade is available on Sundays at 10:00am. Confirmation is available to children in 6th, 7th and 8th grade with classes offered either on Sunday mornings at 8:30am or Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm. We have a wide variety of fellowship ministries, and it is our Pastor’s great joy and privilege to baptize, marry and share final farewells with all people. God’s Work, Our hands day is the ELCA annual day of service which is Sunday, September 13 this year!

On this day members put their faith into action by helping somewhere. This year it was decided we would clean our church.

Stay after church to help us dust, vacuum, pull weeds, etc. around the church. Some snacks will be provided to all helpers.

If possible, bring some cleaning supplies to help with the cleanup!

Sunday school and Confirmation classes begin this Sunday!

I’m excited to welcome back Carol Morgan who will be teaching 3rd-5th grade students and I will teach preschool -2nd grade students.

Brad & Colleen will teach Sunday Confirmation class. Brad and I will teach Wednesday Confirmation class.

This week also is our Ministry Fair. Come learn about all SOTH has to offer and sign up for a committee to share your time and talents!

WELCA is hosting a bake sale this Sunday during the Ministry fair. Donate baked goods or come buy some yummy treats!

Even though it rained this past Sunday, we didn’t let it bring down the fun we had at the picnic! It was lovely to see everyone come out and enjoy the music, food, games, face painter and balloon artist.
