Big News for the McBee High Family!

Chesterfield County Schools is proud to announce that Dr. Stephanie Bridges will be the new Principal of McBee High School starting in the 2026-2027 school year!

Dr. Bridges joins us from Darlington County School District with over 25 years of diverse educational experience. From her early days as an Adjunct Professor at Miles College to her most recent leadership as Principal of J.L. Cain Elementary, her journey has been defined by excellence and a passion for student success.

Academic Excellence:

Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership – Columbia International University

M.A. in English – Tennessee State University

B.A. – University of Alabama

Whether as a teacher, director, or principal, Dr. Bridges has proven herself to be an incredible leader. We are honored to have her expertise at the helm of McBee High. We are confident that her experience and commitment to students will have a positive impact on our school community.

DEADLINE: Wednesday March 11th!!
Retreat Dates: March 27-29
Garden City Chapel, Garden City SC
Grades: 9-12
Fee: $150 (partial sponsorships and full $150 sponsorships are available thanks to generous donations)
Worship services, prayer time, small group bible study, athletic competitions, outdoor sports, and competitions out on the beach.

We love you OB! So glad you are back!

Today we celebrate someone who means so much to our school family — our incredible School Resource Officer, Officer Larry Brown!

Officer Brown is an integral part of our school, not only because he goes above and beyond to keep us safe, but because he goes above and beyond to love and support our students and staff every single day. His presence brings comfort, strength, and positivity to our campus, and it simply hasn’t felt the same without him.

After being out due to a medical issue, we are incredibly thankful to share that Officer Brown will be returning to us healthy and whole on Tuesday, February 17. We have truly missed him and cannot wait to welcome him back!

“OB,” as he is affectionately known, reminds us daily that being a school resource officer is about more than safety — it’s about relationships, encouragement, and heart.

Please join us in celebrating Officer Larry Brown and showing appreciation for the impact he makes in our school community. We love you, OB, and we are so grateful to have you back!
