We’re grateful to have Mayor Omar Ochoa stand with Choose to Change and advocate for the work we’re doing in our community.

Support like this helps us continue walking alongside individuals and families affected by incarceration, addiction, and broken relationships, reminding them that their past does not have to define their future.

Join us on October 22 for the Choose to Change Gala as we come together to support this mission and continue believing in what’s possible when a community chooses to care.

📅 October 22 | 7–9 PM
📍 TDM Church, McAllen

Individual tickets and sponsorship opportunities are still available. Send us a message to learn how you can be part of this special evening.

Ninety days ago, these men made a choice...

They walked out of prison or rehab with nothing guaranteed, and they put in the work. The meetings. The mentoring. Showing up when nobody was watching. Now they are graduates of our 90 Day Re-entry Mentoring Program, and we could not be more proud.

Swipe through and see what change looks like. Real people. Real progress. Families getting their people back.

This program runs because people like you believe in it.

He’s proud to stand behind a mission that believes in second chances, supports individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult moments.

As we prepare for our 5th Annual Choose to Change Gala, Robert shares why this mission is so important to him and why he’s proud to be part of the work being done right here in the Rio Grande Valley.

Packed room in Pharr last night. 🙌

Families filled the Pharr Library for Understanding Addiction, and they left with real answers. Orlando Salinas broke down how addiction works, why it’s so hard to break, and how to recognize true recovery in someone you love.

To every new family we met: you showed up, and that first step matters. We were honored to have you in the room.

Big thank you to CQR Kitchen & Bath for sponsoring the evening, and to the City of Pharr library for giving our community a place to gather.

More Understanding Addiction presentations are on the way, and they are always free and open to the public.

👉 Follow Choose to Change Foundation so you hear about the next one first. Someone you love may need to be in that room.

Something powerful happened in McAllen! 🙌 Families walked in carrying questions they had held for years. They walked out with answers, hope, and proof they are not alone...

That was at our recent Understanding Addiction seminar, where Orlando Salinas, founder of Choose to Change Foundation, uncovered why addiction is so hard to break, how it works in the mind and body, and what a real solution looks like.

The truth became clear: addiction touches all of us more than we realize, especially the families fighting for someone they love!

Now we're doing it again, and this time it's in Pharr:

📅 Tuesday, September 15th
🕖 7:00 - 8:00 PM
📍 Pharr Library
121 E Cherokee Ave, Pharr, TX 78577

Admission is free.
