Mark your calendars to stick around after worship on Sunday, June 7. We’ve got a lot of celebrating to do together for both the Nursery Re-Opening and Graduate Recognition Lunch. 2026 graduates include: Sadie Garza (Nikki Rowe), Saul Cortez (Triumph Public High School; Saul is Caly Fernandez’s grandson), and Hector Naranjo (UTRGV).

Many thanks to Caly Fernandez, Jeff Justice, and Bernard Tabali for assisting in Pentecost worship by leading the Prayer in Many Languages (English, Spanish, Irish, French).

“The Coming of the Spirit"

Lord, Holy Spirit, you blow like the wind in a thousand paddocks. Inside and outside the fences, you blow where you wish to blow.

Lord, Holy Spirit, you are the sun who shines on the little plant. You warm it gently, you give it life, you raise it up to become a tree with many leaves.

Lord, Holy Spirit, you are the mother eagle with her young, holding them in peace under your feathers. On the highest mountain you have built your nest, above the valley, above the storms of the world, where no hunter ever comes.

Lord, Holy Spirit, you are the bright cloud in whom we hide, in whom we know already that the battle has been won. You bring us to our Brother Jesus, to rest our heads upon his shoulder.

Lord, Holy Spirit,
Lord, Holy Spirit,
Lord, Holy Spirit,
Lord, Holy Spirit, in the love of friends you are building a new house. Heaven is with us when you are with us. You are singing your song in the hearts of the poor. Guide us, wound us, heal us. Bring us to God.
Bring us to God.
Bring us to God.
Bring us to God.

Thank you to all the choir members for filling our sanctuary with your heavenly voices every Sunday.

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me; mold me; fill me; use me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

Thank you to Lita Simpson for creating this morning’s beautiful Pentecost display.

Come, Holy Spirit, come.
Renew your whole creation,
nature and grace,
soul and body,
and all manner of matter.
Move in and around us;
fill us with your creative energy
and extravagant light.
May our hearts be open,
may our hearts be stirred,
for the work of love
to which you call us
and the hope of the world
for which we labor.
Amen.
