The Semiquincentennial Independence Day
Service of Prayer and Proclamation

A Liturgy of the Word will be followed by Civic Ceremony. Local religious clergy will meet state leaders to proclaim liberty throughout the land.
In this time of our country’s 250th Anniversary, we hope to reflect, remember, review, and renew our dedication to the spiritual values that founded this nation.

Selected readings from The Declaration of Independence will be recited.

The Knights of Columbus Post # 4621 will post colors and lead the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and the Bible.

The Women’s Missionary Society will provide an inclusion for the American Story about Evangelist Reverend Mary Sterling.

Due to the forecasted extreme cold weather, the Masontown Brethren Church is cancelling services for Sunday February 1. Please let others who may not be on the prayer chain know about the cancellation. We are looking forward to gathering together again next week. We are having a carry-in souper-bowl lunch after Sunday School. God bless you.
