Jesus founded His Church because of His great love for us. "And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." Matthew 16:18



Also, Jesus commanded His church to continue His ministry here on earth until He comes again. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Matthew 28:19-20



The challenge of church ministry is to find the best methods and techniques to fulfill the commandment to make disciples of the whole world. Since Grandview Baptist Church is a member of the Tennessee Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention, we help support through the Co-Operative Program approximately 11,000 full-time missionaries all over the world. We will continue to preach the Word of God, teach God's Holy Scriptures, minister to the needs of our community, and to serve God in all ways that He instructs us.

This is a day to remember forever! March 16th, 1776, 250 years ago, our Second Continental Congress passed a resolution asking all of our people to dedicate themselves in prayer, fasting, and repentance on May 17th. Today, Sunday, the Lord's Day, May 17th, 2026, on the 250th anniversary of that resolution, in our nation's capital, hundreds of thousands are gathering in person, and millions will be joining digitally on the National Mall of Washington, D.C., for a day of prayer, worship, and rededication of our nation to God, led by our government's leadership!
