What an incredible summer we have had at DMBC. VBS went well and a few weeks later we had over 130 kids on our campus for our annual Sports Camp. There were 10 children at Sports Camp who made a profession of faith. Please pray these 10 start being discipled and get plugged into a good bible believing church. Today in Children's Church our focus passage was on Genesis 50 v. 20. At the end of the message we played Bible Jeopardy to review what the kids have learned over the last 3-4 weeks. The game was between the Saints, Holy Rollers, Righteous Minds, and the Pentecostal Posse. In the end the Saint squeaked out a win. They will defend their belt next Sunday. I am blown away at what these kids retain,.

Theme Nights
The first Wednesday night of the month will be a theme night. The kids will receive 15 Dotson Dollars for participating. The themes for each month can be found below:
Monthly Theme Nights for Children's Ministry
January – Glow Night
Wear neon or white, play glow-in-the-dark games, and learn about being the light of the world (Matthew 5:16).
February – Superhero Night
Dress as your favorite superhero and learn how God gives us strength (Isaiah 40:31).
March – Wacky Wednesday
Wear mismatched clothes, crazy hair, and learn how God created each of us uniquely (Psalm 139:14).
April – Inside Out Night
Wear your clothes inside out, play backward games, and talk about how God transforms our hearts (Romans 12:2).
May – Dotson Spirit Night
Wear a Dotson Memorial shirt or colors and learn about being united in Christ (Philippians 2:2).
June - Hat Night
Wear a fun, silly, or unique hat and talk about how God protects us (Psalm 18:2).
July – Crazy Sock Night
Wear the wackiest socks you can find and talk about walking in faith (2 Corinthians 5:7).
August – Backwards Night
Say your name backward, play games in reverse, and learn how God’s ways are different from the world’s (Isaiah 55:8-9).
September – Sports Night
Wear a jersey, play fun games, and talk about running the race for Christ (Hebrews 12:1).
October – Farm Night
Dress like a farmer or farm animal and learn about sowing and reaping in faith (Galatians 6:9)
November – Twin Night
Dress alike with a friend and learn about friendship and unity in Christ (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
December – Crazy Hair Night
Style your hair in a wild or silly way while learning that God knows every hair on our heads (Luke 12:7).

Schedule
Wednesday Night Children's Ministry Schedule
5:45 PM – 6:00 PM: Check-In and Station Games
Check-in at the door
Kids will be split into teams for station games (icebreakers, small group activities, or introductory games that build excitement for the night)
6:00 PM – 6:05 PM: Welcome, Prayer, and Instructions
Fun games and activities that get kids moving (relay races, Bible trivia games, or team-building activities)
6:05 PM – 6:45 PM: Stations
Students will be assigned a 1, 2, or 3 when checking in to determine their rotation status. Station locations TBD. Stations are as followed:
Games: Fun games and activities that get kids moving (See Games List)
Memorization Station: Work on Bible verses and allow time to quote the scripture they learn. This is where we will document Dotson Dollars.
Testimony Station: Learn about the events in the life of a Christian from past generations (examples: a missionary, an early church leader, etc.) Discuss their life and impact, then ask questions or have activities based on their story
6:45 PM – 7:05 PM: Worship and Message
Lead the children in a time of worship through song
Follow it up with an, engaging message based on the lesson of the night
Dismissal - Students can visit the Dotson Store
