Welcome to a special Facebook post edition of our week at Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp. Every year is a grand adventure, and this year was no exception. We are never sure of how the week will go, but God answered our prayers and blessed us so richly with a spectacular week. We were so excited to have a total of 90 campers ranging in age from 7 to 18 join us this last week of church camp. Add to that a wonderful mix of around 44 devoted staff and you have the recipe for an epic week. Which it truly was, each day was filled with morning exercises, 2 bible classes, sports, activities, crafts, afternoon sessions, games, tournaments, swimming pool time, prayer walk, and 2 fire circles. The extraordinary Kitchen Staff provided 3 wonderful meals a day and snacks, served with lots of love and smiles. This week we studied “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life”, engaging the campers to learn how Jesus and the cross are the only way to God. Several of our own stepped into leadership roles at fire circle, giving the talk, leading singing or praying. One of our own was baptized on Friday night and it was a joy to witness, congratulations Nevaeh! I wish you could have all been there to enjoy it with us, but since you could not, never fear, I took lots of photos! They tell the real story, a story of hearts coming together for the love of Christ. We are also blessed to have the videos shared by Meagan, available on her YouTube here: Meagan Stover - YouTube there is a video for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can watch stories of new friendships being created, old friendships rekindled, and spiritual connections ignited, recharged and strengthened. In the youngest children’s bible class each day I witnessed these young one’s genuine desire to learn more about God, excitement to read and memorize bible verses out loud. As Jesse shared at the last Fire Circle we need to continue our experience and take camp out into the world and share what we learned with others seeking. We can do this, this week is proof of that- together we can share the Way to everlasting life in God’s Kingdom!
A heartfelt thank you to all that supported camp this week, the amazing staff that worked it, the loving members that sent healthy snacks and cookies, and those generous individuals who donated so many scholarships and all those who devoted time to pray for us. Your support led to a successful week and we could not have done it without you!

The Marysville Church of Christ still has 4 openings for our 2026-2027 Thursday School year. What is Thursday School? -Thursday School is a preschool program that runs each year from September through March. The program began in September 1974 and is still going strong. The children learn about the alphabet, shapes, colors, and numbers. Each week, the children also have a Bible story corresponding to the alphabet letter of the week. Singing, skits, puppets and other interactive teaching methods are used with the children to help reinforce their learning. School is held Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Each class consists of 8 children with two teachers. This student/teacher ratio allows each child to receive the attention that they need at this age. We are looking forward to our 51st year of Thursday School. This program is for children who will be 4 years old by Sept. 30, 2026, or 5 years old and not going to kindergarten. The cost of the program is $30 non-refundable registration fee and $5 each week. To learn more about Thursday School you can go to: http://marysvillecoc.com/thursschool.php. If you are interested in Thursday School or would like more information, please call 937-642-9747 Monday - Thursday or email the church at [email protected] with your contact information and we will get back with you.

It is hard to believe another year has come and gone, and now we have the joy of celebrating our Class of 2026 graduates. This year, we are so proud of three wonderful seniors and excited to see how God will guide each of their steps in the days ahead. While we will miss them dearly, we are grateful for the time we have had to watch them grow. Please join us in congratulating them and be sure to celebrate with them at their upcoming parties—dates and times can be found on the board in the foyer or in the bulletin. Here is a look at what lies ahead for each of them:

We will begin with Jaden. After graduation, she plans to attend American University in Washington, DC this fall, where she will major in Neuroscience and minor in Political Science. We are so excited to see all that God has in store for her as she begins this new adventure.

Next is Henry. After graduation, he plans to step straight into the workforce and begin learning the trade of plumbing or HVAC. We are proud of his willingness to work hard and build a strong future, and we pray that God will bless him as he starts this exciting path.

Last is Zach. He plans to attend Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana, where he has earned a bowling scholarship and will be pursuing studies in Agronomy and Bible. What a blessing to see his gifts and hard work open this door, and we cannot wait to see how God uses him in the next chapter of his life.

Each of these graduates has a bright future ahead, and we are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate them at this special milestone moment in their lives. Please keep Jaden, Henry, and Zach in your prayers as they step into this next season. May God bless them, guide them, and give them everything they need to flourish in the days ahead.

This month’s Ladies Fellowship was full of creativity and fun as the group gathered to make charming “Potheads.” With 11 ladies in attendance, 11 one-of-a-kind pots came to life—each painted with personality and imagination. Along with the laughter and crafting, the ladies also shared a devotion, prayer time, and a delicious dessert, making it a sweet and meaningful time together. A special thank-you goes to Donna and Abbey for their faithful dedication to this ministry. Looking ahead, next month the ladies will gather once again at Renee’s house for Gals, Guns, and Gourmet. Be sure to check the signup board in the foyer and the bulletin for all the details.

Last weekend, a group of our men—along with a few teens—headed to the Kirkmont Center near Zanesfield for a refreshing Men’s Retreat. With about 25 in attendance, the weekend centered on one powerful theme: surrender. Our guest speaker, Noah Icenhour from the Northeast Church of Christ in Cincinnati, challenged and encouraged them to lay down their own plans and align their lives with God’s will.
Between study and praise, there was plenty of time to build friendships—over great meals, lively conversation, a hike on the trails, a friendly game of poker (no money involved), and a campfire to end the day. It was a meaningful chance to connect across generations, as older men shared wisdom and encouragement with the younger guys. Huge thanks to our retreat planning team—Josh F., Dale G., Daniel C., and David R.—for making the weekend happen! Keep an eye on the bulletin for the next Men’s Fellowship gathering.

Two weekends ago our teens enjoyed a retreat at NWOCYC (Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp). A couple other churches joined them there and they were able to press pause on the regular world and enjoy a time of connection and recharging spiritually. This included surrendering their cell phones for the duration to truly unplug. Wait, what?! Yes, the teenagers were willing to set their phones aside. This allowed for a weekend of worship, praise, testimony sharing and bible study. Which was balanced with fellowship meals together, big campfires, and fun activities including a serious game of Capture the Flag in the dark (with some in full camouflage apparently). The weekend was so remarkable that they all requested that it become an annual tradition. That does not happen all on its own, we are blessed to have amazing Teen group leaders: Casey, Jessica, Bishop, Madison, Justin, Megan M., Joe F., and Katie. With a special shout out to Casey for working magic in the kitchen to have the meals ready for all, regardless of the multiple complications that occur with the first event of the year at camp. Also, thank you to Scott F. for the flooring work he did in the Sunset Cabin that weekend.

Today we want to share some highlights from 2 Ladies Events last weekend. The first was our own Sue Darby who was a guest speaker for a Ladies event at the Mentor Church of Christ. She spoke to around 75 women on the topic: From Waiting to Walking with a focus on trusting God’s timing. The main scriptures she referenced were Psalm 119:105 and Habakkuk 2:3. The second event was planned by Abbey who co-leads the Ladies Fellowship Ministry with Donna. The event for April was an overnight trip for the Extraordinary Women conference held in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Eight ladies headed that way at 11:00 am on Friday. Arriving in Ft. Wayne for lunch and doing some shopping before they headed to their hotel. After checking in we enjoyed BBQ for dinner and then went straight to the main event. We got an idea of how many ladies were attending as we waited in traffic to get in, later we learned that there were 7,000 tickets sold! The event was certainly worth the wait the theme was: By Still Waters with Psalm 23 as a focus. We engaged in worship and praise followed by loads of laughter with Chonda Pierces’ hilarious comedy performance. That was followed up by a spectacular country/Christian concert by Anne Wilson, singing hits from her headlining My Jesus tour. Then we called it a night and headed back to hotel to get some sleep before the full day on Saturday. We were up early to grab breakfast at the hotel and then off to the venue. Saturday was full of amazing speakers, including Lysa Terkehurst, Margaret Feinberg, Elizabeth Woodson and Charlotte Gambill with Mack Brock leading worship and praise. What a blessing to be in an arena hearing 7,000 voices giving praise to our God, it was truly breathtaking. Sound like something you would enjoy? Great news, we plan to go back next year, ladies see Abbey for details.

Today we are sharing some photos of our Jr. Youth group’s adventures. They get together once a month for an activity. The two latest events were in February and March. In February they had a movie night here at the building complete with popcorn and snacks. They were all encouraged to invite a friend to join in on the fun, and there were around 20 kids present. In March they got to test their bowling skills with a trip to the local lanes. About 16 kids were able to bowl together that day! Do you have kids in 2nd -6th grades, if so be watching the bulletin for any upcoming Junior Youth events.
Special thanks to Rob P., Brittany P., Joe F. and Katie F. for their ongoing energy, love and dedication to leading this ministry!

Our Easter week was full of excitement here at MCOC; we typically begin our Easter celebration on Palm Sunday with our annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event is always a big hit with the children, and it just keeps getting better. We had a record turnout this year, even the Easter Bunny was there. The kids were divided up by age at the beginning so they could move through the different stations, there were volunteers helping at each stop. The Easter Egg Hunt allowed the kids by age groups to run wild and free collecting all the eggs they could. At the kitchen eggs were transformed into works of art that Peter Rabbit himself would have envied. The cookie decorating station was a popular happy place, children bringing mini confection masterpieces to life made from icing and an endless array of colorful sprinkles. They could also take these home, but I think most of them were eaten immediately upon completion. Yum! Then there was the star of the day- The Easter Bunny himself was present for photos with his good buddy Mr. Carrot. All the children had a chance to pose for an Easter portrait and as the photos show, some were happier about this than others, lol. Then they had the opportunity to put the photos into their own decorated frames, the perfect keepsake to commemorate their experience. It was a joyful event to be sure, but don’t worry if you missed it this year. This event happens every year the week before Easter, so mark your calendars for next year and join us then to do it all over again!
Special thanks to everyone that came together to make this event a reality! All who planned, shopped, baked, filled eggs, set up, served, hid eggs, led children, worked stations, photographed children, and cleaned up. We appreciate every one of you!
