It is a new school year and soon the big red LifeWise bus will bring several classes of students into our building on Mondays & Tuesdays for bible class! The Marysville LifeWise volunteers, teachers, staff and leadership team met last weekend for training and many preparations are happening behind the scenes. Check out the photos of some of our MCOC team at training and the prayer meeting. We are overflowing with excitement to see this partnership continue to flourish and grow. Would you like more information on how to sign your child up for this amazing program? Scan the QR code on the attached slide. All local elementary schools + Creekview Intermediate have LifeWise programs up and running. Want to show your support? Check out the LifeWise Bulletin Board in the hallway and grab a tag to donate items needed for this school year. Special thanks to our own LifeWise Academy crew and their work with this extraordinary ministry! Have questions? Contact Cheri S. or Brandon T., two of our LifeWise Leaders.
There is also a Level Up family friendly event for students in grades 5-12 and their families tomorrow night 8/29 at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Partners Park Pavilion downtown. See the slide attached with details and bring a canned good to support the Hope Center.

What a week at the Union County Fair! We are so proud of our amazing 4-H kids and all they accomplished. Some of our MCOC kids showed animals, completed special projects, earned awards, and some are even headed to the State Fair! Be sure to ask these kids about their projects. Way to go, everyone — your hard work, learning, and achievements made this fair one to remember! It was an action-packed week with a lot going, also included are some photos and Monster Truck videos from the fair on Saturday night.

This summer our kids here at MCOC have enjoyed a wonderful learning experience with the God’s Strong Kids program. Katie F. and Amanda have led the 10-20 children that have attended once a month teaching them how to make a nutritious snack and engage in healthy exercise routines. They made decorative veggie plates, fruit kabobs and fruit smoothies. Yum! We appreciate them sharing good examples of how to take care of our bodies so that we are ready for whatever God calls us to do. Also emphasizing making sure that we are putting good stuff in, so that good stuff can come out, not just for our bodies but for our minds too. Knowing that if we can develop these good habits early it will make it easier when they get bigger, like exercising, but also reading their Bibles and praying every day. They also did some stretching, exercises, ran laps and relay races. The photos show how that looked each day and all the fun they had along the way. This year they added brand new water bottles for each child and they are able to earn stickers to decorate them. We are so grateful for Katie F. and Amanda taking the time to share these valuable lessons with our kids group, be sure to let them know how much we appreciate their leadership! God’s Strong Kids has one more gathering planned for August, see the bulletin for the details.

Today we are highlighting our amazing construction themed Vacation Bible School week that occurred earlier in July! We had a 4 Day well-constructed event each night we hosted between 55-65 children, see the photos to get the full effect. We share our excitement as we reflect on all the wonderful moments that made this year's VBS a truly unforgettable experience. From laughter echoing in the hallways to exuberant songs sang in the sanctuary to creative crafts and delectable snacks, to engaging lessons every day. It was all a custom-built adventure! This year’s theme, “Under Construction,” set the perfect tone for a foundational bible characters experience. Through engaging storytelling, skits, and interactive lessons, the children learned about how four men (Aaron, Jonah, Peter and Paul) were works in progress.
None of this would have been possible without our extraordinary team of volunteers. Our ministry leaders Josh N. and Abbey N. were the master architects behind it all and what an awesome job they did! Special Thanks to the entire VBS Crew (40+Total volunteers!): dinner team, registration team, story tellers, skit performers: Ben, Boss and Foreman Frank or was it Fred? lol, song leaders, teachers, activities team, crafts team, snacks team, nursery childcare providers, security team, AV Booth DJ, decorations team, and everyone behind the scenes. Each person brought their unique gifts and servant hearts to make this VBS a huge success. Their energy, dedication, patience, and love shone through in every precise detail.

Happy 250th Independence Day America! With the leadership of Josh & Abbey MCOC was well represented again in the Marysville Independence Day parade. Our church float was bursting with red, white, and blue, Uncle Sam even paid a visit! it was a hot day to be sure but, with the crowd clapping along, we celebrated 250 years of freedom with our friends and neighbors. Thank you to everyone who helped decorate, joined in the fun, and cheered them on along the route. We’re so grateful to be part of this vibrant community—God bless America!
Special thanks to our ministry leaders: Josh N. and Abbey N. Also a giant thank you to the rest of the parade crew: Doug R., Sherri R., Sue L., John L.(aka Uncle Sam), Bella, Eloise, Elizabeth, Royal, Rose, Declan, Olive, Jace, Megan C. and Daniel C.

I apologize for running behind on the MCOC Facebook posts. To catch up we will share 2 events that occurred at the end of June.
The first was the Jr. Youth’s Bike Night at the MCOC parking lot. Around 15 Children arrived with all types of wheels from bikes, skateboards, scooters, rollerblades and a wiggle car (check out Crew's ride). A little rain didn’t deter them from having a wonderful time. Snacks were shared and new friends were welcomed. The parents reported that the kids got great exercise and slept well that night, lol. We are so grateful for the ministry leaders of this group, thanks go out to Brittany, Rob, Katie and Joe for planning and overseeing this event. But wait, there is more fun ongoing this summer for kids of all ages with the God’s Strong Kids Events on Mondays: 7/13, 7/27 and 8/10 at 9:45 to 11:30 join Katie in the kitchen to make a healthy snack, discuss healthy choices and then head outside for stretching, exercises and games.
The second event shared today is a ladies gathering at Josh and Renee’s home outside for a slightly louder endeavor. The Gals, Guns and Gourmet event was the occasion they had a fantastic turnout. Looks to have been around 15 ladies there. Who knew how many of our ladies would enjoy a day of shooting? Apparently, Renee did, of course she spoiled all present with a delectable array of food and drinks while guest brought side dishes and desserts galore to share. I venture to guess that no one left hungry. The weather appears to have been near perfect. There were individuals present serving as rangemasters to keep everyone focused on safety first. Many ladies just enjoyed fellowship time in the gazebo while they ate, and others headed outside to soak up some sunshine. Such a blessing to share quality time together with our sisters in Christ. Special thanks Josh F. and Renee for organizing and hosting, along with the others who provided safety assistance.

Welcome to a special Facebook post edition of our week at Northwestern Ohio Christian Youth Camp. Every year is a grand adventure, and this year was no exception. We are never sure of how the week will go, but God answered our prayers and blessed us so richly with a spectacular week. We were so excited to have a total of 90 campers ranging in age from 7 to 18 join us this last week of church camp. Add to that a wonderful mix of around 44 devoted staff and you have the recipe for an epic week. Which it truly was, each day was filled with morning exercises, 2 bible classes, sports, activities, crafts, afternoon sessions, games, tournaments, swimming pool time, prayer walk, and 2 fire circles. The extraordinary Kitchen Staff provided 3 wonderful meals a day and snacks, served with lots of love and smiles. This week we studied “Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life”, engaging the campers to learn how Jesus and the cross are the only way to God. Several of our own stepped into leadership roles at fire circle, giving the talk, leading singing or praying. One of our own was baptized on Friday night and it was a joy to witness, congratulations Nevaeh! I wish you could have all been there to enjoy it with us, but since you could not, never fear, I took lots of photos! They tell the real story, a story of hearts coming together for the love of Christ. We are also blessed to have the videos shared by Meagan, available on her YouTube here: Meagan Stover - YouTube there is a video for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You can watch stories of new friendships being created, old friendships rekindled, and spiritual connections ignited, recharged and strengthened. In the youngest children’s bible class each day I witnessed these young one’s genuine desire to learn more about God, excitement to read and memorize bible verses out loud. As Jesse shared at the last Fire Circle we need to continue our experience and take camp out into the world and share what we learned with others seeking. We can do this, this week is proof of that- together we can share the Way to everlasting life in God’s Kingdom!
A heartfelt thank you to all that supported camp this week, the amazing staff that worked it, the loving members that sent healthy snacks and cookies, and those generous individuals who donated so many scholarships and all those who devoted time to pray for us. Your support led to a successful week and we could not have done it without you!

The Marysville Church of Christ still has 4 openings for our 2026-2027 Thursday School year. What is Thursday School? -Thursday School is a preschool program that runs each year from September through March. The program began in September 1974 and is still going strong. The children learn about the alphabet, shapes, colors, and numbers. Each week, the children also have a Bible story corresponding to the alphabet letter of the week. Singing, skits, puppets and other interactive teaching methods are used with the children to help reinforce their learning. School is held Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Each class consists of 8 children with two teachers. This student/teacher ratio allows each child to receive the attention that they need at this age. We are looking forward to our 51st year of Thursday School. This program is for children who will be 4 years old by Sept. 30, 2026, or 5 years old and not going to kindergarten. The cost of the program is $30 non-refundable registration fee and $5 each week. To learn more about Thursday School you can go to: http://marysvillecoc.com/thursschool.php. If you are interested in Thursday School or would like more information, please call 937-642-9747 Monday - Thursday or email the church at [email protected] with your contact information and we will get back with you.

It is hard to believe another year has come and gone, and now we have the joy of celebrating our Class of 2026 graduates. This year, we are so proud of three wonderful seniors and excited to see how God will guide each of their steps in the days ahead. While we will miss them dearly, we are grateful for the time we have had to watch them grow. Please join us in congratulating them and be sure to celebrate with them at their upcoming parties—dates and times can be found on the board in the foyer or in the bulletin. Here is a look at what lies ahead for each of them:

We will begin with Jaden. After graduation, she plans to attend American University in Washington, DC this fall, where she will major in Neuroscience and minor in Political Science. We are so excited to see all that God has in store for her as she begins this new adventure.

Next is Henry. After graduation, he plans to step straight into the workforce and begin learning the trade of plumbing or HVAC. We are proud of his willingness to work hard and build a strong future, and we pray that God will bless him as he starts this exciting path.

Last is Zach. He plans to attend Huntington University in Huntington, Indiana, where he has earned a bowling scholarship and will be pursuing studies in Agronomy and Bible. What a blessing to see his gifts and hard work open this door, and we cannot wait to see how God uses him in the next chapter of his life.

Each of these graduates has a bright future ahead, and we are thankful for the opportunity to celebrate them at this special milestone moment in their lives. Please keep Jaden, Henry, and Zach in your prayers as they step into this next season. May God bless them, guide them, and give them everything they need to flourish in the days ahead.

This month’s Ladies Fellowship was full of creativity and fun as the group gathered to make charming “Potheads.” With 11 ladies in attendance, 11 one-of-a-kind pots came to life—each painted with personality and imagination. Along with the laughter and crafting, the ladies also shared a devotion, prayer time, and a delicious dessert, making it a sweet and meaningful time together. A special thank-you goes to Donna and Abbey for their faithful dedication to this ministry. Looking ahead, next month the ladies will gather once again at Renee’s house for Gals, Guns, and Gourmet. Be sure to check the signup board in the foyer and the bulletin for all the details.
