After four rigorous days of learning what it means to be a missionary from the Apostles of Jesus themselves, we went out to the local mission field—Uptown Friday, downtown Marysville, OH where there was a band playing, many booths, food carts and hundreds of people from all over Ohio. At our booth we greeted people with the love of Jesus, offered a putting green for children, lots of free candy, gallons of water to quench thirsty pallets, an area to make beaded bracelets, and information about our local missionary training center, First English Lutheran Church! Despite off and on wind and showers we greeted many visitors. We hope and pray some might check us out some Sunday mornings at 9:30 am and starting next Fall 10:30 am!
