5-Day Devotional: Walking in the Blessing of Abraham's Favor
Day 3: Searching for Good Brings Favor
Reading: Proverbs 11:27; Proverbs 12:2

Devotional: In a culture fixated on negativity, searching for good is a radical act of faith. Scripture promises that if you search for good, you will find favor. This requires intentionality—choosing to see God's hand even in difficult circumstances. Like Pollyanna's "glad game," finding what's good shifts your perspective and transforms your environment. A good person obtains favor from the Lord, not because of perfection but because of heart posture. Today, commit to being a good-finder rather than a fault-finder. In every situation, ask: "What can I be grateful for here? What good can I see?" This simple practice positions you to receive favor and changes the atmosphere around you.

5-Day Devotional: Walking in the Blessing of Abraham's Favor
Day 2: The Blessing of Divine Favor
Reading: Numbers 6:22-27 (The Priestly Blessing)

Devotional: God's intention for your life is clearly stated in the priestly blessing: to bless you, protect you, smile upon you, be gracious to you, show you favor, and give you peace. This isn't wishful thinking—it's God's declared purpose over your life. Favor isn't fair; it's covenant. When you're in right relationship with God, you're already in His favor. Favor accelerates what God is doing, opening doors that human effort alone could never open. Today, ask yourself: Do I truly believe God's favor surrounds me like a shield? Do I expect it? Begin declaring this blessing over yourself and your family. Look for evidence of God's favor in the small things—a parking spot, an unexpected kindness, a timely provision.

God's favor isn't random; it's a covenant promise signed, sealed, and delivered through Jesus Christ. You can and should expect His blessing. It's yours.

5-Day Devotional: Walking in the Blessing of Abraham's Favor
Day 1: You Are an Heir of Promise
Reading: Galatians 3:26-29

Devotional: If you are in Christ, you are Abraham's seed and heir according to the promise. This isn't merely a theological concept—it's your spiritual identity. As an heir, you have access to everything promised to Abraham through faith. Today, reflect on what it means to be an heir rather than an orphan. You don't earn God's blessings through striving; you receive them through relationship. The promises aren't based on your performance but on God's covenant faithfulness. Take time to thank God that you belong to His family and that His promises are yes and amen in Christ. Walk today with the confidence of a child who knows their Father's resources are available to them.

Finding Jesus means finding life and receiving favor from the Lord

06/22/2026

The enemy's ministry is to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give you abundant life. Favor isn't fair; it's covenant. When you're in covenant with God, His favor surrounds you like a protective shield, keeping you safe from every attack.

What if God's favor could get you to your destination faster than climbing the stairs alone? This week we explored the eighth blessing of Abraham: the blessing of BLESSING itself—God's supernatural favor on your life.

Favor isn't fair—it's covenant. When you're in right relationship with God, you're already favored. Numbers 6:24-26 declares God's intention: "May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace."

Favor accelerates what God is already doing. It opens doors human effort alone could never open. Like Queen Esther receiving the king's scepter, one moment of favor can change everything. If you search for good, you will find favor (Proverbs 11:27).

This week, ask God to show you His favor. Expect it. Watch for it. Then come back and share your testimony of how He favored you.

This sermon explores the eighth blessing of Abraham—the blessing of being blessed by God, understood as divine favor. The pastor emphasizes that favor is not earned through fairness but is a covenant promise for those in right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Favor accelerates what God is already doing in our lives, opening doors that human effort alone cannot open. As heirs of Abraham through faith in Christ, believers should expect and recognize God's favor operating in their daily lives. The message challenges the congregation to shift from negativity to actively searching for good, maintaining focus on God, and expecting His blessing. Favor surrounds believers like a shield and manifests in both extraordinary moments and everyday provisions.

Queen Esther walked into the king's presence, an act punishable by death. Yet, he extended his scepter—a moment of favor that saved an entire nation. Favor can achieve in minutes what years of striving cannot.
