Reset Church

Reset Church Loving God, Loving People! Come join us on Sunday for 10 am service. www.reset-church.org In 11/2011 Pastors Jeff & Holly Hastings became the new pastors.

Reset Church was formerly known as Turning Point Church which started in 1996. The name change has been in the plan all along and finally become official in 11/2013. Turning Point Church needed a Reset just like people sometimes do. It is a gathering of people from a variety of backgrounds, an inter-generational mix of people, together seeking God.

Jacob's vision of a ladder to heaven wasn't just a dream; it was a divine preview. Angels ascending and descending, bridging the gap between Earth and heaven, all foreshadowing Jesus himself. He is the true connection, the stairway to God's presence.

Six Day Devo
Day 2 — Faith Over Fear

Scripture: 1 Kings 17:13-16

"Make me a little cake first."

The widow of Zarephath faced a crisis. She had enough flour and oil for one final meal before starvation. Yet God asked her to give first.

Her miracle was not found in the flour jar or the oil jug. It was found in her willingness to trust God beyond what she could see. Faith often requires us to release what seems insufficient into God's hands.

Fear says, "Protect what little you have."

Faith says, "God is able to sustain me."

The widow discovered that God's supply does not run dry when His people trust Him.

Reflection Questions:

Where is fear tempting me to hold back?
What area of my life needs a greater expression of faith?

Prayer:
Lord, help me trust Your provision even when circumstances seem uncertain. Replace fear with confidence in Your faithfulness.

We pray for His kingdom to come and His will to be done on Earth as it is in heaven. But do we truly believe it in our hearts? This isn't just a saying; it's about God's access to humanity and restoring what was lost. Get excited!

Six Day Devotional
Day 1 — The Blessing of Knowing Your Source

Scripture: Genesis 14:20

"Blessed be God Most High, who has defeated your enemies for you."

Abraham's tithe to Melchizedek was not an act of obligation—it was an act of recognition. He understood that his victory, provision, and success did not originate from his own strength but from God. Every blessing begins with settling the question: Who is your source?

The world teaches us to trust our abilities, bank accounts, careers, and investments. Abraham teaches us to trust God. When we recognize God as our source, fear begins to lose its grip. We no longer live with a scarcity mindset because we know the One who supplies all our needs.

Reflection Questions:

What do I tend to rely on most when facing uncertainty?
Have I truly settled the issue of God being my source?

Prayer:
Father, help me trust You as my ultimate source. Teach me to look beyond earthly resources and place my confidence in Your faithful provision.

The Bible says weapons formed against you shall not prosper. An enemy fires fiery darts, but you have a shield of faith. According to the Apostle Paul, this shield quenches ALL of them, not just some. Believe in its power.

This message teaches that one of the often-overlooked blessings of Abraham is the blessing of generosity rooted in faith and trust in God as our source. Drawing from Abraham’s tithe to Melchizedek, Jacob’s vow at Bethel, and numerous New Testament principles, the sermon contrasts religious obligation with covenant relationship, emphasizing that biblical giving flows from gratitude, revelation, and confidence in God’s provision rather than duty or compulsion. Just as Abraham lived open-handed because he trusted God to supply all his needs, believers today are called to embrace a lifestyle of joyful generosity, recognizing that God blesses not merely for accumulation but for kingdom flow, and that those who trust Him as both Provider and Sustainer position themselves to experience the fullness of His blessings and inheritance through the Holy Spirit.

The core promise is life in the Spirit, which unlocks everything God has for us. Salvation is the first blessing, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the second and vital key to living the abundant life God intends. It's not about works or law, but about living fully in His Spirit.

Worship is the fastest route to victory, not a denial of the struggle. When we lift our hands, voices, and eyes, we're surrendering our entire being to God, declaring trust in His support. The battle is His.

Every generation faces a defining question:

Will we conform… or will we transform?

History shows us that when believers live out their faith boldly,
culture changes.

Now it’s our turn to answer the call.
