Celebrating what God is doing at REAL! 🙌🏽

This Sunday we had the opportunity to pray over our I Have A Dream Preschool Academy as they begin a new school year. We prayed for our director, staff, and advisory team, as well as the children and families from our community who entrust their little ones to our preschool. May IHAD continue to be a place where children are loved, families are supported, and our community is blessed.

We also celebrated a transition in our Building & Property Manager role. We are thankful for Chip Cheruiyot Bii, who faithfully stepped in and served as our interim manager over the summer. Thank you, Chip, for serving us well!

We are also excited to welcome Zach Rahschulte into the permanent role! Zach has already been a blessing to us in his first week, and we’re grateful to have him serving our church and the many people and organizations who share our building.

There is a lot happening in and through this building, and we are thankful for the people who help make it possible.

Most people know 1 Corinthians 13 as the “love chapter.”

But Paul wasn’t writing to a bride and groom. He was writing to a divided church.

This Sunday, after reflecting on 1 Corinthians 13:4–7, we invited everyone to write the name of someone in our church who has demonstrated one of the characteristics of love listed in the passage.

Patient. Kind. Humble. Selfless. Forgiving. Truthful. Hopeful. Faithful. Encouraging. Enduring.

The result is what you see here.

No one person embodies every characteristic of love. But together, the Body of Christ does.

This board is a reminder that the Holy Spirit is at work among us—not making us a perfect church, but forming us into a loving one.

Our prayer is that we would become the kind of community people recognize by the way we love one another.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
— 1 Corinthians 13:13

Yesterday our church took time to pray over students, families, teachers, administrators, support staff, and school employees as they prepare for a new school year.

As another school year begins, we join in praying for wisdom, protection, strength, and peace for everyone who walks through our school doors.

We’re grateful for all who serve, teach, learn, and support our schools. May this be a year marked by growth, hope, and God’s presence.
