Jalapa Chapel family,

It's been a fun week for the youth. Everyone is back in school now, so we had a great lesson diving into Luke 5 and 1 John 4. James taught on God's love and how we should have that same kind of love for those around us.

We also celebrated our seniors, as this was our last youth night with them before they move onto their next chapter post-high school. We have been so blessed to have so many incredible seniors, whom many are very involved in serving in their local churches and then come join us for youth group. They will all be truly missed!

Then our girls had their first Prayer & Coffee Tuesday morning at Milk and Honey. We talked about John Bevere's book on offense, which he refers to as the "Bait of Satan." We discussed how easily we can become offended and how destructive it is to relationships. We also discussed the difference between direct offense and assumed offend, and how to handle both situations in light of scripture.

May the Lord continue to move and stir the hearts of your young people!

We had such a special day yesterday, celebrating the baptism of 5 of our people!! We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in the hearts of these individuals!! We are proud of Kristen, Bradey, Emmie, Anna & Mallory for taking this step of obedience and surrender! And what an incredible church family we have that SHOWS UP, supports & loves so well!! We are so thankful!! 💦✝️🩵

It’s been a big week for the Jalapa Youth!

Thursday we had a blast at our annual pool party at the Newhouse home!

Then Friday morning, we took a crew down the Grant County Rescue Mission. We got to attend chapel and then go work in the warehouse. Watching these kids work and sort made us so proud! They were all asking when we were coming back and trying to figure out how they could get their sports teams to come work together for a service day!🥰

Then we had regular youth tonight! Christan gave an awesome message on “Don’t waste your life!” 2 Timothy 2:14 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.”

Join us for baptism Sunday! Today we're speaking how baptism is God's work but once God has done that work in us, He desires that we stay clean that He might use us for His work in the world!

It’s been such a fun week with the Jalapa Youth! We had an awesome youth group on Sunday and then had a blast with this group at Pine Lake on Tuesday! It’s so exciting to see the community growing among our youth!
