Prayers for the week of June 14:

June 14: Pray for the gift of patience with ourselves and with each other. Together with the Lord we can achieve the impossible.

June 15: Pray that we accept the responsibility of being good sheep to the Good Shepherd. We cannot expect that God will do all that needs to be done without commitment to living his Word.

June 16: Pray for those attempting to navigate both inner and outer chaos. When too much is happening around us, we internalize our fears. When we follow God’s word and Jesus’ teaching, we can calm our hearts and minds.

June 18: Pray for those who are grieving all types of loss. Give them stability and support in moving forward.

June 19: On this Juneteenth Day, pray we will never forget the significance of ending slavery in this country. Freedom is a fundamental right for all of God’s people. Do not let us become complacent in minimizing or marginalizing those who seek freedom and are too often denied.

Prayers for the week of June 7:

June 7: Pray that we truly forgive those who have wronged us. We can’t simply dance around it and expect others to interpret that dance.

June 8: On this Best Friends Day, we pray each of us has that special someone who understands our past, believes in our future, and accepts us just the way we are.

June 9: Pray when we are stuck in self-doubt, self-harm and self-loathing, we seek the Word of God and put our trust in God.

June 11: Pray that we put our faith into action. Talking about the problems our country is facing is not enough. Make us people who take the initiative to go beyond words and do something because we know we can step into the deep waters of faith and be made new for God will not leave or forsake us.

June 12: On this “World Day Against Child Labor,” pray for children subjected to the abuse, exploitation and neglect associated with this atrocity. Bring those who traffic our children to justice.

June 13: Pray for everyone who is traveling for business or pleasure. Keep them safe and patient as they navigate unfamiliar destinations or encounter delays.

Prayers for the week of May 31:

May 31: Pray that when we are faced with life changing decisions, we find comfort and courage to continue the path God shares with us, knowing God will lead us to where we are meant to be.

June 1: Pray all people see power in kindness on this “Say Something Nice Day.” Each of us has the capacity to show up kindly and make a difference in the world. Kindness is about showing up with compassion and acting for the greater good.

June 5: Pray on this “World Environment Day” that we recognize the Earth is one thing we all share. Help us to cherish our resources and preserve clean air, clean water, and tillable land for today and all our tomorrows.

June 6: Pray for a safe summer as schools begin their break. Keep our children safe as they head to the beach, the parks and trails. Bless families as they adjust to having their children home and the expenses associated with that. Bless family vacations and reunions.
