It is with deep sadness, but also with profound faith in the promises of our Lord, that we share an important update regarding our beloved former Assistant Pastor, Father Mark Moore.

Over the past year, Father Mark has carried the cross of cancer with remarkable courage, dignity, and trust in God. Many of you have accompanied him through his treatments, prayed for him, encouraged him, and witnessed firsthand his unwavering commitment to serving Christ and His Church even while facing serious illness.

In recent days, Father Mark's condition has declined significantly. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit, and his medical team believes he may have only hours to days remaining in this earthly life.

As a priest, Father Mark has spent his life preparing souls to meet the Lord. He has preached the Gospel, celebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, administered the Sacraments, comforted the suffering, buried the dead, and walked beside countless individuals and families through their greatest joys and deepest sorrows. The impact of his priesthood reaches far beyond what can ever be measured.

At this sacred moment, we ask all parishioners and friends of our parish family to unite in prayer for Father Mark. Pray that the Lord may grant him peace, freedom from suffering, and the grace of a holy and happy death. Pray also for his family, brother priests, and all those whose lives have been touched by his faithful ministry.

While our hearts are heavy, we are reminded of the words of Christ: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me, even if he dies, will live."

We entrust Father Mark to the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Priests, and place him in the hands of our merciful Savior.

Please continue to keep Father Mark in your prayers throughout the coming days.

Vivat Jesus
