According to Acts 17, jealousy has been a struggle since the beginning of the church. When God is moving through someone else, it can be tempting to compete or become discouraged. But jealousy has no place in the body of Christ.

How do we combat it?

We pray blessings over others instead of wishing we had what they have. We celebrate what God is doing in and through others rather than comparing their calling to ours. And most importantly, we keep our eyes focused on all that God has called us to do.

When we stay focused on God's purpose for our lives, we don't have to compete with anyone. We can rejoice in what God is doing through all of us. 🙌🏼

Monday Prayer ~ Take a moment to lift up a prayer for the week ahead. 🙏🏼

Dear God, as I step into a new week, I ask for peace over my home, protection over my family, and strength for every challenge I face. Fill my days with joy, guide my steps with wisdom, and remind me to see the beauty in the small, ordinary moments.

This scripture does not claim that negative experiences, suffering, or sorrow are inherently good. God seeks to restore us in the midst of our brokenness. He takes the shattered fragments of our lives and skillfully combines them. From our most challenging seasons, He creates a higher purpose.

The ultimate 'good' that God aims for is to mold our hearts to resemble Jesus more closely. 🙌🏽

Friday Praise - Can you imagine the scene described in Revelation 4:8? The angels created to surround the throne, constantly praising God. The song "Holy Forever" highlights one of the most beautiful truths about God: He is holy, He is worthy, and He will be worshiped for eternity.

We don’t worship because God requires our praise.

We worship because He deserves it.

When we sing Holy Forever, we are participating in a worship that started long before us and will carry on long after we’re gone. While our circumstances may change, the holiness of God remains the same.

So today, no matter what you’re going through, take a moment to remember: God is still on the throne. He is still holy. He is still worthy. And your life can be a beautiful offering of worship to Him.🫶🏽

🚢 WHY WE GATHER ON THE RIVER ✨

Every September, thousands of people come to Marietta's riverfront to celebrate our city's rich heritage at the Sternwheel Festival.

For one morning, we gather for an even greater reason.

We believe there's something beautiful about the Church stepping outside its walls and into the heart of the community. In the place where people naturally gather, we gather to worship Jesus.

Different churches.

Different backgrounds.

One Savior.

Sternwheel Sunday is a reminder that before we're known by our denominations, we're united by Christ. Together, we lift one voice in worship and pray that everyone who walks the riverfront experiences the love and presence of God.

Whether you've attended church your whole life or you're simply enjoying the festival, you're invited.
