October is Clergy Appreciation Month!
Our clergy give so much of themselves in service to Christ and His Church, often making daily sacrifices for the spiritual well-being of their parish communities. In the midst of their many responsibilities, it's easy to take their hard work and dedication for granted. Yet our clergy, too, need encouragement, kindness, and reminders that their service is appreciated.
This month, take some time to thank your clergy and show your appreciation. Write them a card, pray for them daily, offer a kind word, lend a hand in your parish, or find another meaningful way to express your gratitude. As St. Paul reminds us, we are called to “esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake” (1 Thessalonians 5:13).
