St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church

St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church • Sunday worship: 8 & 10 a.m.
•Christ the King (Kenyan Congregation): 11:45 a.m. St. Stephen's welcomes all people as beloved children of God. At St.

As Christians, we root ourselves in the Bible and grow in faith through community. Stephen's, all are invited to the Table to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion. And we enjoy gathering for food and fellowship on Sunday. Prayer is central to who we are and all we do. We worship in the Anglican tradition. We also welcome new ways of worshiping through contemporary music, sermon conversatio

ns, and welcome families and young people. All are invited to serve God and neighbor by volunteering at our food pantry each Friday of the month, except the first Friday. We also sponsor an annual Christmas toy drive. In church, people assist with worship, teaching, parish office work, and maintaining our historic building and grounds. God has blessed us with abundance and our lives are enriched when we pay it forward. Stephen's is involved with ECCO (Essex County Community Organization) and other local groups seeking community improvement. Together we address issues like teen violence, public safety, affordable housing, education, and access to employment. Our faith draws us into the world to work for justice. Stephen's has gathered a Christian community for worship and service since 1844. The church, built in 1880, is a national historic landmark and boasts extraordinary Liturgical Tiffany windows. Please come to visit. All are welcome!
