Mill City Church

Mill City Church We are a gospel-centered church connecting the UMASS Lowell and Greater Lowell communities to Christ and His mission.

We are a community of people from a variety of backgrounds, interests, and life stories who have found common ground in our desire to explore what it means to know and follow Jesus Christ and to actively love our community and world.

Each month we update our prayer focus, starting personally and working outward to the globe.

This month, we’re praying over a heart of gratitude this summer, our summer community group focused on evangelism, our teachers and administrators, Boston Center for Biblical Counseling, a spirit of unity and shared mission among our national denomination churches and leaders, and the 7,000+ unreached people groups across the globe today.

Will you join us this June in praying these six specific requests?

Join us for Summer Community Group (CG) as we gather in-person on Wednesday nights at 7pm to study, discuss, pray, and fellowship together. Beginning June 10th and running through July 29th, we will be meeting at the church facility to discuss Sam Chan's How to Talk About Jesus (Without Being That Guy). Register via the link in our bio or weekly e-mail.

About the book:
Most Christians know they should be trying to tell their friends and family about Jesus. But in a post-Christendom world, personal evangelism is viewed negatively--it's offensive, inappropriate, and insensitive. Recent studies confirm that the majority of Christians rarely evangelize, worried they might offend their family or lose their friends. In How to Talk About Jesus (Without Being That Guy), author Sam Chan equips everyday Christians who are reluctant and nervous to tell their friends about Jesus with practical, tested ways of sharing their faith in the least awkward ways possible.

Each month we update our prayer focus, starting personally and working outward to the globe.

This month, we’re praying over our Ephesians sermon series, growing families within our church, the 19,000 children in foster care in New England, Hope Fellowship Church ( ), our six SBC seminaries, and our collegiate/young adult mission team being sent to Japan from May 15-29.

Will you join us this May in praying these six specific requests?

With over 19,000 children and youth living in foster care in New England, there is an urgent need for more safe and well-supported temporary foster, and permanent adoptive families. If you have ever thought about becoming a foster or adoptive parent, now is a great time to consider taking the step!

Join us for Called to Care, an informational seminar about Foster Care and Adoption. This event is open to individuals, couples, and/or families who are interested in learning about the different ways they can be involved in caring for youth in foster care. You will hear from foster care and adoption specialists from DCF and other agencies as well as current foster and adoptive families. You will also have the opportunity to ask your questions. This is a no-obligation opportunity to learn more. Click the link in our bio or e-mail to register!
