Fifth Street Baptist Church

Fifth Street Baptist Church Our greatest desire is to glorify God in all that we do. Our mission is simple yet profound: to love God, to love people, and to make disciples!

We believe the church is not just a building, but a family of believers united by faith in Jesus Christ.

I had the opportunity to preach through Romans 1:24–32, a powerful and sobering passage that shows what happens when people reject God and choose their own way.

It’s not an easy message, but it is a necessary one.

God’s Word speaks truth about sin, judgment, and the condition of the human heart, but it also points us to our need for Him.

I want to encourage you to take some time to listen. Let God’s Word speak for itself and examine your heart in light of it.

Join us this morning at 5th Street Baptist Church!

We’ll begin with our worship service, come and be spiritually fed through God’s Word and time together in His presence.

After the service, we’ll be having a church luncheon, and we’d love for you to stay and fellowship with us. I had the opportunity to make spaghetti with meat sauce for today, certainly not a professional cook, and maybe not even a great one, but I’m thankful for what the Lord has provided.

Come for worship, stay for fellowship, and enjoy a meal together. We would love to see you!

Yesterday at Fifth Street Baptist Church, we had the incredible privilege of baptizing three young men who had accepted Christ as their Savior in recent weeks.

What a blessing it is to see lives changed by the Gospel and to witness their public testimony of faith through baptism. Each step into the water was a declaration of what Christ has already done in their hearts.

We thank the Lord for His saving power and for the work He continues to do in our church and community.

Please join us in praying for these young men as they continue to grow in their walk with the Lord.

Yesterday, as we gathered for our Easter service and preached from Luke 24:1–12, we were reminded of the incredible truth of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I praise God for the empty tomb, because it is the resurrection that proves Jesus Christ is truly God, our Lord and Savior.

The gospel is clearly seen in this: Christ died on the cross, was buried, and rose again. His resurrection is the evidence that the work is finished. Salvation is not something we achieve, it is something we receive. All God asks is that we believe that what Christ did, He died for our sins, so that we might have eternal life.

I also thank God that even when we misspeak, whether it’s a name or a detail, He knows our heart. The message is not dependent on a perfect speaker, but on a perfect Savior. I praise God for the Holy Spirit, who strengthens and uses imperfect people to proclaim His perfect truth.

This was the message from yesterday’s service. I pray it is a blessing to you.

If we truly love our brethren, we will desire to strengthen them in their faith so they may bear fruit, always aiming to glorify God and lead others to know Christ as their personal Savior.

Daily Devotional. This passage teaches us that returning to God often begins with removing what has taken His place in our hearts. Renewal is not just emotional—it is intentional. It involves repentance, obedience, and worship.

I praise God to be back to normal health after a small battle with bronchitis. It slowed me down for a bit, but thankfully the Lord has restored my energy. With that energy back, I’ve restarted the daily devotions, and today we continue in Genesis 32:22–32. I pray it will be a blessing and encouragement to you. God bless.
