We finally did our beginning of summer blòt. The irony of doing it when it was in the low 70s earlier and we're now under a winter storm warning isn't lost on us. Anyway, here's our omen.

Today is Transgender Day of Visibility. Being visible as a trans/nonbinary person is really hard right now. The visibility we're getting has been overwhelmingly negative lately and every day there's something in the news about our rights being stripped away, violence against trans/nonbinary people, or other scary things.

TDoV is supposed to be a lighter, happier day to contrast with Transgender Day of Remembrance but this year it just doesn't feel that way this year.

We call upon our government to stop scapegoating trans and nonbinary people. We also ask for Odin to protect transgender and nonbinary people everywhere and for Loki to release the cleansing flames of chaos and change.

We see you and support you even if you're not feeling happy about today and even if you're not feeling safe to be visible right now.

What is going on in Minnesota and across the United States is absolutely shameful. ICE is a government goon squad, paid to disappear anyone the predator in chief wants gone, with no regard for the law. Not only do they have no problems disappearing people, citizens or not, they have no qualms, nor punishments, for killing people who they feel are getting in their way. They need to be defunded, shut down and held accountable. From their lowest ranking people all the way to the top. Especially the top for not only looking the other way, but actively trying to cover up blatant murders, just to distract from the Epstein files.

May Tyr bring justice for the victims and may the perpetrators never know peace again!

We honoured the transgender community for Transgender Day of Remembrance by reading the US (there's over 360 names on the full, international list and Justice has to protect their mental health; there's nearly 70 on the US list) of people who died due to anti-transgender violence and lit a candle on our ancestor altar. We mourn and demand justice.
