We will have the regular Saturday/Sunday Mass schedule on Dec. 23-24 to celebrate the 4th Sunday of Advent. Christmas Masses start at 4:00pm on Dec. 24. Thank you for worshiping with us during the Advent and Christmas seasons!

Christmas is right around the corner. Come help us celebrate the birth of Jesus with our Christmas Pageant in the church and reception to follow in the Bread of Life Hall! All students should sign-in and report to the church basement no later than 2:30pm.

Dear Parents/Guardians!

Happy Thanksgiving! Saint John the Evangelist will have a special Thanksgiving Mass tomorrow morning at 8:30am if you wish to attend. There are no classes this Sunday, November 26th, but don’t forget to sign-in for Masses this weekend November 25th & 26th in the Mass Passport Binder.

¡Feliz día de acción de gracias! San Juan Evangelista tendrá una Misa especial de Acción de Gracias mañana por la mañana a las 8:30am si desea asistir. Remember, sign in will be in the Rotunda at 2:30pm for all students in preschool through 5th grade. After signing in parents are encouraged to go to the parent social, faith sharing, and prayer in the Bread of Life Hall for the Spanish parent group or in the church basement (the old St. John’s Hall) for the English parent group. Many thanks to all the parents that signed up to bring a snack for the parent social! Also, keep up the good work signing the Mass Passport Binder.

Our annual Christmas pageant is coming up. Practice will be starting this weekend. Tryout for roles will be this weekend during the second half of class. All students will be a part of the pageant, however, if they would like to have one of the speaking roles, they need to be in class this weekend. If for some reason your student cannot make it but would like to have one of the speaking roles, please email Kevin Stinner to let him know before Sunday November 12th. In addition, if your student cannot make the pageant on December 17th, from 3:00 – 4:00, please do not have them try out for a speaking role. If you have any questions, please contact Kevin Stinner. Nuestro desfile anual de Navidad se acerca. La práctica comenzará este fin de semana. Las pruebas para los roles serán este fin de semana durante la segunda mitad de la clase. We are having Adult Meetings for parents and in-person classes for all children on Sunday, November 5th: After signing in your child at the Rotunda like normal at 2:30pm, parents and guardians are to meet for the Adult Meeting in the Bread of Life Hall for the Spanish presentation by Daniel Huesca or in the church basement (the old St. John’s Hall) for the English presentation by Deacon Denny Wallisch.

Good afternoon, A Family of Faith! This Sunday October 29th is our Community Meeting. Join us for our Saint Party! We encourage both children and their parents to dress up as their favorite Saint. Dressing up as a Saint is not required but encouraged at this Sunday’s Community Meeting—have fun and be creative! A prize will be given to the best dress Saint.

Hello, A Family of Faith!



The Mass Passport Binder is available after all the Masses every weekend for parents to initial. The binder is located outside of the left entry doors in the upper foyer on a table by the St. Vincent de Paul donation box. As a reminder, the Mass Passport is divided into sections. Please make sure to initial in the correct section next to your child’s name. Simply find your child’s name (First Name, Last Initial) and put your initials under the Mass you attend. If you will be out of town or will be attending a different parish this weekend, remember to have the priest or deacon sign the bulletin from the Catholic Church you attend Mass at, and bring it to class with your child’s name on it for credit. We look forward to seeing you at Mass, in-person class sessions for students, and parent group meetings this weekend.



Remember, sign in will be in the rotunda at 2:30pm. Due to the Council of Catholic Women Fall Festival this weekend, there will be a small change where parents are to go for their meeting after signing in their children. The Spanish parent group will meet in the church and the English parent group will meet in the basement of the church (St. John’s Hall) side room on the right called St. Catherine of Sienna.

Le recordamos que el Pasaporte de Misas está dividido en secciones. Asegúrese de poner sus iniciales en la sección correcta junto al nombre de su hijo. Simplemente busque el nombre de su hijo (nombre, inicial del apellido) y escriba sus iniciales debajo de la Misa a la que asiste. Si estará fuera de la ciudad o asistirá a una parroquia diferente este fin de semana, recuerde que el sacerdote o diácono firme el boletín de la Iglesia Católica a la que asiste a Misa y llévelo a clase con el nombre de su hijo para obtener crédito. Esperamos verlo en la Misa, en las sesiones de clases presenciales para estudiantes y en las reuniones de grupos de padres este fin de semana.



Recuerde, el registro se realizará en la rotonda a las 2:30pm. Debido al Festival de Otoño del Consejo de Mujeres Católicas este fin de semana, habrá un pequeño cambio en el lugar donde los padres deben asistir a su reunión después de registrar a sus hijos. El grupo de padres en español se reunirá en la iglesia y el grupo de padres en inglés se reunirá en el sótano de la iglesia (el antiguo Salón de San Juan) en el salón lateral a la derecha llamado St. Catherine of Sienna.
