Each month in Southeast Kids we have a memory verse! As you go through your week, practicing this verse is a great opportunity to teach your kids to take God’s Word with them wherever they go.

August memory verses with motions (another great way to practice!):
Early Childhood: “The Lord (point up) gives me strength (flex your muscles) and protects me. (make x with arms) He has saved me.” (hug yourself) (Exodus 15:2a NIrV) (hands open holding book)

Elementary: So I want you to realize (point to your head)
that the LORD (make an L shape with hand and move from one shoulder to opposite hip)
your God is God. (with open palm facing left, move hand from forehead to chest)
He is the (point to the sky)
faithful God. (put one fist on top of the other)
He keeps his covenant (shake hand with yourself)
for all time to come. (stretch arms forward and then out to each side)
(Deuteronomy 7:9a NIrV) (open hands like holding a Bible)
