e are some of the things we do as a congregation:
We love to WORSHIP our great and gracious Lord and regularly assemble to offer Him praise on Sundays at 10:30 AM and again at 1:30 PM. Our worship consists of singing, praying, preaching, giving and weekly observance of Communion. We have small group BIBLE CLASSES for all ages on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM and Wednesday nights at 7 PM. We take Christian education very seriously whether at Bible study or at home. We have several monthly ACTIVITIES (like women's devotionals) where we study His Word and others (like Men's Nights Out and Activity Nights) where we hang out, eat and play games. Both types of fellowship help forge bonds of friendship and bring us closer together as the family of God. EVANGELISM is a priority for us. We see the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ as a primary work of the church. We engage in local OUTREACH and MISSIONS through various annual efforts such as the Jeffersontown Gaslight Festival, vacation Bible school and our summer series. The church operates a community FOOD PANTRY which serves those in need and invites them to learn more about God. We support Potter Children's Home and Family Ministries in Bowling Green, Kentucky, as a way to show the compassion of Christ, partnering with them as they minister to families and children in need. We also support mission works in Arizona, Tennessee, India and elsewhere. These are just a few of the things we do to try to positively influence our world for Jesus. As a congregation of the Lord's body here at Watterson Trail, we work to IMITATE THE NEW TESTAMENT pattern for the church. We have a HIGH REGARD FOR SCRIPTURE and recognize it as an authority for all we do in matters of faith and practice. We strive to be a called-out body of believers, trying to show the love of God and spread the saving message of the gospel to all the world.
